It's been 4 months now since my surgery, which I spent 10 years contemplating and finally decided to do. Overall I am thrilled with the results, and my "new" nose is amazing. I am so much more confident about my profile and how I look.

Why I had the procedure done:
To repair a deviated septum, crooked nose with a hump.
What the procedure was like and healing process:
Went smoothly, recovery till I felt mostly normal was about 3 weeks. Recovery included: not being able to breathe due to swelling, horrible itching from the cast and stitches, and a really funny smile for about 3 weeks post op.
I got the cast off and stitches out on day 6, and could already see a big swollen version of what the final result would be. I loved it from the minute I saw it.
One of the hardest parts of recovery for me was deciding whether to tell people outright why I looked different or wait for them to ask. I decided to wait for people to ask first, and a couple did, but most people did not.
My biggest advice is to find a doctor you TRUST completely, with no reservations. The healing process mentally and physically are hard enough, but you don't want bad results to be a part of it.
