WORTH IT
I went to Dr. Cochran for a Revision Rhinoplasty. This is probably the single best rhinoplasty surgeon in the Country. After having one botched nose job, I can assure you that I did massive amounts of research for the best of the best in revision rhinoplasty and Found Dr. Cochran. I can't even tell you how amazing my nose looks and how much better I can breath. The first surgery was not only aesthetically displeasing but it left me with horrible breathing and drainage issues. Completely fixed! Amazing Surgeon! He is honestly the best in the business. He may run a bit more money but let me tell you from experience if it is a surgery involving you face, go with the absolute best surgeon or you'll end up like me and paying twice to have it fixed! Go to Dr. Cochran and get it done right the first time!

Thank you so much for sharing your opinion about your doctor.

I would love to add your experience to the Revision Rhinoplasty community, but it would be helpful if you could provide some more detail about your experience with your procedure/treatment. This will mean we can add your review to the topic and it will bring more people to your page, giving you more support. I suggest adding before and after photos - optional of course - so that other community members can use your review as a guide throughout their journey.

do you recommend him for primary rhinoplasty (first time rhinoplasty) and lets see pictures, also around how much did it costs if you willing to share it around?

I absolutely would recommend him for a first time rhinoplasty. What I didn't put in my original post but probably should have was that my husband was so impressed with the results of my surgery that 6 months later he went to Dr. Cochran to fix a 20 year breathing problem that he had from when he broke his nose as a teenager. My husband lived with Afrin. Not only did he get my husbands nose CRAZY straight and slimmed down, it's the best he has ever been able to breath! This Doctor is honestly the real deal! I'll see if I can get some before and after pictures up of both of us so that you can see the results. My husbands was first time nose surgery, mine was revision.

Mine ran I think close to 12k and my husbands was around 9K. It was somewhere in that ball park anyways. Revisions are typically more complicated which is why they charge more for them.

thank you foe sharing, I'm having revision with dr C after my primary with him has failed. your review gives me more courage but unfortunately it doesn't provide information about your nose and surgery. could you please share more details , what kind of deformities you had, did he use grafts, what kid of grafts, where did he get the cartilage from. could you please share before and after pics, I looked at your profile for more info but sadly you only have one post ( the review) , I can pm you my email address if you want to keep your photos private. your help will be much appreciated . thank you.

I'm going to try to get some pics up today that might help you see how my nose was jacked and the huge difference after it was fixed! The first surgeon that botched it left me with a lump and a slope. How he managed that I'm not sure?! Also as time went on the skin around my nostrils retracted making the nostril area large and very visible! Although I was prepped that he may need it, I got lucky and no cartridge graft was used.

Thanks for that info! However, he doesn't have a whole lot of before and after photos on the internet. Were you able to see any? There are other good docs I've heard of like Davis in Florida and Grigoryants in CA. Did you check them out?

Looks great! Thank you very much for sharing. Do you have any tips for others going through rhinoplasty?

i would recommend using a Doctor that has the equipment to give you a realistic 3D rendering before you commit to the surgery, that way everyone's expectations are the same. Your idea of the "perfect" nose may be different from the Doctors and I think that will save potential misunderstandings since you get to see what it will basically look like in advance. With Dr. Cochran I told him things I liked and didn't like about the rendering and he was able to adjust how he would do the surgery to get certain areas of my nose more how I wanted it to look. As I'm sure you know and any good doctor will tell you that not everything you may want is achievable. That's why I liked the 3D so that everything could be discussed in advance. It's really not that painful of a surgery, more annoying for a few days since you can't breath out of your nose. Be prepared as downtime can vary. My husband looked almost completely normal 2 weeks after surgery. I'm a VERY bad bruiser and looked like I still had a black eye and bad swelling a month later. No way to tell in advance but give yourself a few more days off work/planned activities then you might anticipate. I was off the pain meds 3 days after the surgery but let me strongly suggest that 1 hour before they remove your stitches taking your prescribed meds as that actually was the worst of the pain. It's also nice if you have a friend /family member that can stay with you a few days. You will sleep a ton the first 48-72 hours but it does make it nicer for someone to make you soup or get you water. You will be a bit "loopy" and the less walking in the first few days the better! Also straws were pretty much a must since its hard to drink from a glass and not hit your nose! Also be careful when picking a Foctir simply from price. A lot of the time you get what you pay for and in this case it is better to get the best surgeon. It involves your face so this would not be an area where I would base my decision on bargain hunting price. Also pick a surgeon that only specialized in rhinoplasty and not plastic surgeries across the board. That was my first mistake and why I had to go back a second time! The nose is very specialized and you want someone experienced and skilled. That's why I like Dr.Cochran because all he specialized in was noses! His whole reputation was built around how good he is as a rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty surgeon.

Like I mentioned before this Doctor is the best! As I put in one of my replies but probably should have put in my original post was that my husband who broke his nose over 20 years ago (and didn't get it fixed then) was so impressed with the results from my surgery that he had his nose surgery with Dr. Cochran 6 months after mine. He had the same fantastic results! Not only did he repair his horrible breathing problems but his nose looks amazing! Again he got it CRAZY straight and it fits his face perfectly.

How much did it cost?
July 2, 2015
Mine was around 13k for everything. My understanding is revision runs more expensive because it's usually a more complicated surgery. My husband who had first time rhinoplasty was only 9k for everything!
