After doing thorough research for a revision specialist, reading great reviews and viewing great before and after pictures I decided to have surgery by this surgeon. The bedside manner was very good and I was given utmost reaassurance however the result was terrible.

My nose does not feel or look like a nose anymore and I now get stared at and laughed at/comments passed wherever I go because of which I have isolated myself. Even my family are distressed when they see me and hence avoid me. Every day is a struggle. I am giving the surgeon a chance to revise the nose in the hope that I am left with a nose that isn't so difficult to live with. I have no other choice as I am unfortunate enough to be caught in this vicious cycle so readers considering surgery do not believe everything you see and read on the net and please take my advice and do not fall in to this trap no matter what you think of your nose believe me a natural nose is beautiful and I would give anything for one :(
I will keep you posted on the results of the revision.

Hi: Very sorry. How long ago was your revision? What are the specific problems? Could any be due to swelling? If you had a complex revision with rib, etc., recovery can take years...

I'm also wondering how long it has been because revisions take longer to heal so you may not be seeing your final results yet. I've read many great Cochran reviews from patients that share before after photos and stick around the site to give feedback. I hope it gets better for you....good luck.

I'm also interested in scheduling a revision consult with Dr. C. Can you tell me what went wrong with your nose. I had a revision last year with a so called revision specialist and he shortened my nose after making specific request not to change my length. He also made my nose wider. I refuse to live like this forever. I can't bear to have another surgeon tell me they can fix something only to cause more damage. So could you explain the mistakes Dr. Cochran made to your nose please. Thank you

Hi Houstonian, can you please tell me who did your revision? You can p.m. if you prefer to keep private. I understand how you feel when you say that you can't bear to do a repeat. Such difficult decisions to make when in this situation. I hope it gets better for you. I too will be consulting with Cochran...not sure exactly when though.
