Found one

Found a photo that I took on 4/10/17. A lot of progress is 10 days!! :)

This is where I am at today. Unfortunately, I do not have a before picture. At my darkest, even an orange correcter, with foundation and a concealer would not completely cover it. Super happy with my results so far. I believe within the next week, it will be gone.

My recent battle with a melasma mustache is...

My recent battle with a melasma mustache is finally coming to an end....or so I hope. First, let me say, I have never experienced melasma until our recent spring break vacation to Cancun. We spent about 6 hours either on the beach or by the pool for 6 days. Shame on me bc I didn't wear sunscreen. Honestly, I never have on my face. I only apply it on my shoulders (when we are on a beach vaca) bc that is wear I typically burn. **i have olive skin which tans easily and rarely burns. This has ALL changed. I have been wearing sunscreen religiously since I have been back home. My journey began about 4.5 weeks ago. I made an appointment with my dermatologist and she prescribed Tri-luma. Me being me, didn't see the results I wanted, so I began googling and ran across a product called Kojic-San soap. I immediately ordered it on line and began washing my face with that at night, then applying the Tri-luma. The first couple of days, I thought my face was going to crack off and that I had burned my upper lip. However, the redness subsides by the morning and the dark grey mustache is not a solid strip anymore. Again, me being me, wanted more. So, again I began googling and found one review that involved applying the Tri-luma first, then a prescription strength Retin-A. Lightbulb went off...I have that cream too. So, my nightly ritual involves all three products and so far the results have been pretty amazing. Yes, at night i look ridiculous. I have a red mustache, but in the morning the redness is gone and mustache is fading! Almost gone now. I don't have to color correct with orange makeup. Just a little foundation. I can't wait until the day where all I need is my tinted moisturizer again.
I know this is probably a little extreme, but hopefully it will help someone. If you do decided to try all three product, take baby steps and use small amounts with a q-tip ONLY on the melasma. It has not burned my skin, but everyone is different.
