WORTH IT

I was introduced to Kybella by a friend who works in the industry. She felt I would be a good candidate at 62. I decided something was better than nothing and was happy to get an appointment for the treatment. I watched videos on "realself.com" and had some apprehension as to the number of shots I would be getting that day. The doctor numbed the area with a cream and then proceeded with the shots. He used 2 vials. I had minimal pain and it was done very quickly. I had burning which was slightly painful. I put ice on my neck before I left the office and kept it on when I got home. The swelling began about an hour after the treatment. Slight bruising at injection site began as well. The swelling continued for about 2 hours more and that is where it stayed. The pain was gone in about that time as well. I decided to stay in for the next few days. Day 3 the swelling has gone down a little, and Day 4 bruising is turning yellow. Swelling going down slowly. I expect I will have this for a week or more. I have a picture up of day 3 bruising. I will continue to post pictures through the time my swelling is gone.

Tried to delete this comment because I noticed afterward that you already did. Disregard the post & good luck with your recovery and results.

@Robinnation left other posts but forgot to mention if u look @ my profile pic this is 3 months out after one treatment of Kybella/2viles. Still small turkey gobble. Well @ 61 it's going to happen, I guess, LOL! I'm saving for my lower lift to tighten up slack neck skin, get rid of ALL my turkey gobble and lower marionette lines that make me look like I'm always frowning. Hope you get fabulous results!

I haven't seen bruising like this with the Kybella procedure. I have read that bruising with any injection be it fillers or Kybella is caused by hitting a blood vessel or vein? in the area. Using Arnica gel will help but had you taken arnica pellets for a week prior you more than likely would have either not had the bruising or it would have been minimal. When I get Juvederm fillers my doc using a vein finder to avoid hitting any with a needle. I swell but its temporary and I never bruise - so I think its the combination of taking the arnica pellets, her expertise and my applying arnica gel directly after for a few days. I will be interested in seeing if this treatment actually makes a difference. It's fairly new - and I have some lift I would love to take care of. Best wishes on your healing

I have been on painkillers for quite some time due a back injury. This would explain the bruising. I am aware of Arnica but didnt have time to start it. My bruising is easing up.

Was hoping for more improvement. I am pretty near original neck size. Do hope there is more reduction to come. Still bruised but much better
