First a lot of back ground on how I came to be Dr. Weider's patient for that last 16 years:
In 1999 I had a tummy tuck and body lift performed by another plastic surgeon. I developed edema in the abdomen and was really scared when water was oozing out of the incision. The plastic surgeon has difficulty removing the edema. Who did he call on for help? Dr. Weider! Dr. Weider was very reassuring, and easily (and painlessly) inserted a huge needle in my belly and removed all the excess fluid. I had to come in about 3 times until it went away - and each time this physician called on Dr. Weider. Well, when I wanted further procedures guess who I went to see? Dr. Weider, of course, the plastic surgeon that his peers called upon for assistance! I have had fillers, botox, eyelid lift, and chemical peel performed by Dr. Weider during the last 16 years that have allowed me to put off a full face lift. But when that time comes, he'll be the one to do it. He listens to what I want, he patiently answers any questions, he has a great eye for detail and natural looking artistry, and he has a great bedside manner. His staff is professional, yet friendly and supportive. What is also great is he has his own in house surgeon suite which helps reduce the cost. When I had an accident while on vacation in South America December 2013, I was able to call his staff who told me he was on vacation....but they contacted him in South Africa. I was reassured and directed what to do until we both returned to Dallas. Fortunately, his instructions were spot on that my lip didn't need reconstructive surgery as I originally feared.
My most recent procedure was a syringe of Juvederm to fill in the lines between my nose and mouth, some in the corners of my mouth to turn the sagging corners out of a perpetual frown and a needle of botox for the 1 crease between my eyebrows that give me a stern look if untreated. I maintain my filler and botox regularly for two reasons: 1) keeps the cost down per visit since less meds to use and less to do , and , more importantly, 2) the look I want stays the same without me looking like I need a touch up.
