I have my submental Lipo scheduled for 3/2. After alot of research, I decided to go with Dr. Friedman in Plano. His reviews, before and after pictures looked amazing. I'm hoping for similar results. I took several before pictures because I found them very helpful in other posters reviews. Tomorrow I'm starting to take Arnica pills in hopes of no bruising.

Arrived to Dr Friedman's office at 430. Started consultation and went over different ways to get rid of double chin. Detailed explanation of procedure and possible outcomes. So the nurse prepped me, cleaned the bottom of my face, neck and chest. Dr Friedman only does one incision under the chin, versus others that do 3( under chin and 1 cut under each ear). Before making the incision he injected the spot with local anesthesia. Once the area was numb, Dr. Friedman began injecting the area with the saline. It includes saline and numbing stuff, which stings. This was the worst part of the procedure. It feels tight and burns. This is about 10 minutes of stoning. Then the Dr begins to suck out the solutions, blood and fat. This doesn't hurt but it's like 20 minutes of pressure all while you head is in an awkward position. I have a low tolerance for pain, and could feel my stomach tight from the nerves of it all. After being stiched up and sat up, Dr. Friedman reviwed my results amd decided to do more of a touch up on my right side. In my procedure the right jaw didn't have enough solution and Dr. Friedman had to put more solution and re do that side alittle. They had to set up everything again, and open all sterile tools. I think that speaks of how detailed the Dr is. He could have just let it be and see the outcome.
After the procedure I could barely talk. That made me really scared. Both Dr and Jin assured me it's only temporary and had to do with the numbing. My face looked really weird, directly under my chin was thin but the sides were swollen. It looked like a weird square face, again was reassured that is normally swellen. I didn't see alot of people post about that so it was weird to see.
Dr and jin wrapped me up so tight, I felt like the weird my jaw shut. He said he always makes it super tight the first day. They showed me and my husband how to place the foam and bandage. Then we are ready to go.
I took Tylenol and propped myself up on the sofa to sleep. I was in so much pain o wanted to throw up. Finally took a sleeping pill to help me fall asleep.

Thank you so much for your update about your chin lipo with Dr. Friedman. I have mine scheduled with him on the 15th. I'm happy to hear that he's such a perfectionist, but am so sad that you're in pain! I hope you get to feeling better soon. I read that he offers laughing gas to help with procedures? Did you use this?

Hi! I didn't use it and didn't ask. It's been 24 hours now and the pain has definitely subdued. I hope by tomorrow night I'm no longer using Tylenol. Dr. Friedman and his staff were so nice. I believe Kim was my nurse and she held my hand to keep me calm and kept reminding me to slow my breathing. Jin was a burst of energy and was great at explaining how things were going to feel the next few weeks. I can't wait to see my final results, I can already see an improvement and it's only been 24hours.

I just wanted to thank you again for your detailed review! I had my chin lipo with Dr. Friedman on the 15th. Kimmy was my nurse, too. Reading the details you wrote helped me stay calm when I saw that horrible “square neck” you talked about. It looked so ridiculous! I’m glad it didn’t last long.

Hi! I’m looking to possibly have Dr. Friedman do the same procedure. I’m going to be honest, I still have some weight to lose ideally around 50-60 lbs. But I am getting ready for my wedding 1 year from now. I don’t want to wait on the face bc of pics and what not. Did weight or ur BMI factor into his ability to do ur surgery. Also, are u happy w the results? How long were u swollen?

This morning still in pain so I took another Tylenol and made it a Netflix morning. Took off bandage to clean my face and can already see a nice difference. Brushed my teeth and rewrapped my bandage.
