Ok I have a recovery question....

So it has been particularly busy at work yesterday and today at work. My whole chest aches now. It feels muscular. Is that normal when you're getting back in the swing of things? I didn't hurt anything, right??

We're getting there

My glue is starting to flake and my stitches were rubbing so I put some steri strips on top for padding. It's still sore and right but seeing the stitches start to break down is making me hopeful.

Well that wasn't fun!

Fluid had built up in one of the girls and the dr had to drain it. I still can't believe I let him poke me with that needle and suck out fluid. Other than that, things are going well

Sorry to hear that but glad it happened before the weekend and he wasn't available. Did you have drains? Thanks for posting, it gives the rest things to watch out for even at 10 days (which seems like a long time out). Hope things stay calm and progress well for you from here on out.

I didn't have drains. From what I've read online, it happens pretty frequently. I'm not sure if drains would have prevented it since it was 10 days out. It wasn't too painful but the concept was a little unnerving.

So was the need for draining obvious to you? How did you know? I don't want to be calling the Dr. for every little thing but its hard to understand when so many women seem to have one breast more swollen than the other and that's normal, this xyz problem is normal.....

It was not obvious to me. I wasn't expecting it at all. I was there for my first post op follow up. It was larger, rounder and you could hear the fluid sloshing in there but I assumed it was normal swelling. That side was a little more painful because it was pushing on the bra but again, I assumed it was normal swelling.

Fluid sloshing, geez. Thanks for replying.

The best part was the faint farting sound if I put my arm down too fast. Fluid and air get stuck and it pretty much turned it in to a whooping cushion. You've just gotta laugh at this stuff
