I'm having a reduction/lift on 12/2. I've lost 116lbs since Feb 25th via Duodenal Switch. I'm measuring a 36H. I'm hoping to be a large C when this is over. I know I NEED to do it but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't starting to get a little nervous. Any tips, advice, last minute things I need to know?

Just checking in on you to see how you are doing?   I hope that you are home and resting comfortably.  Let us know how things are going.

I'm home and ok. Lots of soreness and burning but not as bad as my weight loss surgery. I'm a little worried about the pain meds running out in a day it two but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

If you are needing more pain meds make sure to call the doctor a day before you are out.  I would hate to think you were laying there in pain and waiting:(

Kimmers25 I only get one refill period. I got it yesterday. Drs office wants me to space them out more and wean off. That sounds nuts to me but I'm not getting any more meds so I've gotta try.

You can do this!   If you can take Ibuprofen this also helps.  I was taking 800 mg at a time.

That helps a ton! I went to Walgreens and got some numbing spray. Between the two I'm going to try to ditch the prescription meds. They are doing horrible, evil, unmentionable things to my tummy. They are no longer my friend! Lol

LOL, I hear that!   They do tend to tear up your insides.

Hi congratuations on your BR tomorrow. and also on losing all the weight. that is a real achievement. I actually wore my new pjs that buttoned up the front to the hospital. It felt very cozy when I got out and was able to go home. Also, I brought a pillow from home to put in front of my breasts in the car for my trip home. It helped a lot. there is a wonderful product called zims arnica roll on that helped me so much for the swelling and pain. also, ice in a bagwith a little water is invaluable. You can also use a package of frozen peas. When you get home rest alot and let yourself heal. also, at first after the surgery when you see your breasts uncovered they will look terrible. my ps warned me about this and I took it to heart. He was right, they did look bad and bruised etc, but in about 2 weeks they looked way better and by 4 weeks they looked wonderful. Now I am at 35 days po and I am back to doing all I could before and am wearing new bras that are pretty and so much smaller. I was swollen for a long time, but it is almost gone now my ps said. Just know that most women are so happy after this surgery with the results. I hated my breasts and now I call them the girls and just lovve them. You will too. You get confidence when you start getting stronger and heal. You will be just fine. let us know how your surgery goes and if you have any questions we are all here to help you. Zena1

I know what you mean about the sexy bra....NOT!!!! but later you get to actually buy and wear some really nice ones. I know it hurts alot. Use ice in a baggie with a little water. It helped me more than anything I tried. It's great that you are getting around well. That's a real good sign. Rest a lot. Zena1

I get my super sexy beast bra tomorrow. I'm ready for it though. My ace bandage is irritating me lol.

Right! I've got gauze pads and a large bra from the hospital. I'm pretty sure they're making it hurt more. Strongly considering switching to a sports bra.

Is that a zippered bra? I have not seen that before. Is the zipper hard? Cold? If the band is bothering try some gauze/panti liner/maxi pads underneath
