I was given a horrible diagnosis again...breast cancer for the second time. I had to get a double mastectomy and Dr Meade gave me the best news of all, I was a candidate for the DIEP Flap procedure. I was able to keep my breast skin/nipple and move tummy fat to create new breast. Breast look great and tummy is flat!!! Woooohooooo!!!!!

Recovery was long. I had radiation the first time I had breast cancer. 3 1/2 yrs later is when I was diagnosed with breast cancer again in the same breast. Radiation made it difficult to heal, It took about 120 days for the left breast to finally heal completely.
