Feeling frustrated

$9,500
I noticed yesterday that when I flexed my pectoral muscles my right breast dents in at the nipple and wrinkles down the center. This breast has felt like it was out of place from the beginning. So frustrated to see this happening. My next post op is 10/13, but the doctor now wants to see me tomorrow. Right now I feel like I traded my left breast pain in for a right breast issue. At least my left one is no longer hurting and my shoulder blade pain has decreased significantly since surgery. It's just so dang frustrating that this process can't be as simple as it should be. These pictures are all with both pecs flexed.

I'm sorry you are having more issues :( I agree, many of us can't seem to catch a break with implants and always one thing after another. Let us know how your appt goes today and what your surgeon says about it! Xo

Last drain tube removed

I'm a bit behind in updating. Trying to recover and get through the first week of school has been challenging. My right drain tube was removed 15days post op. I was still borderline as far as removing it. They wanted me to have under 30cc in a 24hr period for 3days in a row, but I only had under 30 for 1 full day. Apparently they can only stay in so long so I had to have it removed regardless. My right side is still more painful and harder then the left but no obvious changes since the tube was removed. It has felt so good not to have tubes any more!!! My scars seem to be so much bigger then my prior BA. My only guess is it's due to the capsule removal.

Ah yes that fluid in there can definitely make the breast feel much different! Make sure to keep an eye on it especially with how much fluid u were still having prior to removal! That can be a trouble maker for sure. Also, as for the scar length.. My incisions were really small with my implant exchange in March.. Then it was a tad bigger after emergency surgery.. But he made a very decent sized incision with my last surgery and it's very noticeable ... That surgery was capsule removal, hematoma removal, and insert new implant with mesh. At my explant they said my surgeon will do a scar revision to make it prettier for my post explant recovery so it's not as ugly of a scar .. Right now it's hidden by the implant

Drain Tube Appointment

Went in today for drain tube removal. I was only able to remove my left drain tube because my right one is still draining too much. I also had stitches removed from under my breasts. Drain tube removal did hurt and felt so strange. You can actually feel the tube moving around as they pull there is a burning and stinging sensation for a little bit after it out. She left the drain hole open saying it should scab over in two days and heal on its own. They will call me tomorrow to let me know if I have to come back in then or if I can wait two more days for the right drain tube removal. Im close to the max time that the drain can stay in, but if they remove it then I could have other issues. Im posting a picture I took today. My right one is still higher and feels swollen.

Sorry it took me so long to come check up!! Your breasts are looking great!! Sucks you have had to have the drains in for so long! Hopefully the second one can be removed in a couple days and all will be well! It definitely does feel weird when the tube is pulled out, I've had the drain tube twice and my goodness it sucks! I only had the drains a couple days each time so I couldn't imagine having to deal with those uncomfortable things for 2 weeks!! I pray all continues to heal well from here and you don't have any issues!! Keep us posted on your progress!! I'll do better with checking up ;) xo
You are too sweet! I finally got the drain tube out. It burned like crazy!! My right boob still doesn't feel right. Maybe now that the tube is out it can heal properly. I will post a updated picture. Thanks so much for checking in on me!
Yea it's so weird feeling the tube come spiraling out like it does!! I need to ask my surgeon if he plans to put tubes in each breast after explant .. Seems a lot of women have a lot of draining after and I want to make sure I don't have any issues with that. Why doesn't your right breast still not feel right? What's it doing? I'll look for your update soon!
My right one is just harder then the left and feels like it's not in the right place. I don't really know how to explain it. Maybe it's still just swelling and fluid like you mentioned before. My tube on that side has only been out 8 days. I hope you don't have to have tubes for your explant!
oh i see.. did you mention you had a capsule released on that side as well? I hope the right improves for you soon, i know how frustrating that can be..

i hope i don't need the tubes either, but from what i have been reading on other explant reviews... many have tubes to help with draining..and the ones that didn't get tubes had fluid build up that needed drained by a syringe. mostly if someone has their capsules removed, they tend to have more fluid/blood so the drains are necessary. the drs office told me my surgeon won't know if he will or will not remove my capsules till he is in there... i do have a CC on my right side so he will have to just judge whether the capsules need out or will be find being left alone. she said sometimes the capsules just come out smoothly right along with the implant and other times they don't. and she said that a lot of the time surgeons say its not necessary to remove the capsules if they are soft ...because they will heal up on their own without issue, and not visibly noticeable or felt. but if they are hard or calcified then they have to be removed. so we will see! keep me updated on your right breast as it progresses!
