Ok, so I'm having these removed this week and super excited! The doctor before did a wonderful job, and they look really good as is now, but I just want to be me again. I got them 16 years ago, no problems, just a little rippling. As a marathon runner, they hamper my running time to say the least, as well as cause me to lean over when I run. I'm not too concerned with the way they will look afterward, just hope the skin retracts back to not cause a lot of sagging. They were a B before I got them and now a 34 DDD. I'm just wanting to be healthier! I'll add updates as this progresses.

Cheers!

Good luck..I am 5 days po. Its a process. Going to work to day for first time...not sure how I'm going to handle co workers. My husband says I look VERY different. Huge boobs are gone. There is no nice way to do this. I am not sorry I removed. They were too big. And I want to get comfortable with my body as is but its extreme. I know I will feel better once I can exercise. Again good luck! You are in good company here.

Thanks for the reply! Helpful to have ladies that understand. What size were you with implants?

I'm in the same boat as you, mine look fine, no 'issues' other than rippling, but they definitely get in the way during exercise. I crossfit 5x a week and can't wait to be lighter and not have these giant boobs in the way all the time! My surgery date is July 6, I'm so excited!

Ok ladies, so today went pretty well. No pain just a little pinch feeling from the anesthesia syringe. They just strapped me to a table, turned on my favorite tunes, cleaned me up then Dr. Stagnone used a laser to open up not even an inch incision, drained the saline and popped the implants out. Procedure only took about 40 minutes! Longest part was the stitching. Only around 5 minutes to take implants out. Go back in 2 weeks for stitch removal. Take bandages off this Sunday. Will post pick then!

I am scheduled Thursday for the same procedure. Just local. You said it wasn't painful, which is making me feel much better!

Oh yay!!! So glad to hear that...you are going to feel SO much better. I have literally had ZERO pain from these incisions. My doc was excellent! Let me know how it goes!

Wow! Great! I am so happy for you! Your story is very inspiring! I am also 47 years old with 19 year saline implants and want them out NOW!
I have constant fatigue, weight gain and depression. Took me this long to figure it out.

Did you have the capsule (en-bloc) removed? It seems some doctors will take out some won't . I am concerned about the toxins left in the body.
What did you doctor say about this?

Thank you,
Sarva

No, he didn't have to remove capsule for me. He didn't address toxins, but then again, I didn't ask. I think the fact I did not have any problems or other surgeries for the 16 years I had them helped maybe. Didn't even use those drains I see on the site that some doctors do. It was really such a simple procedure I can't even believe it! I was literally out the door 15 minutes after he finished. He was very good and his stitching is wonderful. I'll post more pics tonight, because I had the stitches taken out yesterday. Got some of those silicone strips for scars to wear. I hope this helps.... : ). Feel free to message me anytime.

Yay!!! I think once you do it, you'll be very happy with the fact you did. Those darn silly ole implants of mine just got in the way. It's nice to feel a natural boob again and not have to worry about too complex bra shopping and finding shirts that work lol...I can't wait to see yours!
