Let's start with how nice and easy to talk to Dr.Brady is. The surgery center was attached to Dr.Brady's office. I stayed overnight and I was very happy with the way I was treated. I had the nerve block and with the combination of pain medication I was basically pain free the first night. The facility was fine, I pretty much slept the entire time. The nurse and all of Dr.Brady's staff are super sweet. I had a catheter after the surgery. It didn't hurt and I was actually pleased I didn't have to get up each time I needed to go. The pain and swelling were tough, but the medication given makes it tolerable. My stitches did not fully dissolve until 5 weeks. Sitting was uncomfortable, but again, with medication wasn't that bad. I was released at 7 weeks. My husband and I tried unsuccessfully to have sex a few times. At first, I thought I was going to hit the roof. It hurt. Pain hurt. I thought I was prepared, but no. It stung. However, with lots of lubrication and persistence, we were finally able to insert him a week later. That hurt also. It took 4 or 5 times after that for my body to get use to stretching out again. I am currently 10 weeks out and everything is great. It still takes thought and lubrication to begin but it is much easier and feels much better than what it was at 8 weeks. My husband is super happy and so am I. If you are thinking about doing this procedure, I highly recommend Dr.Brady. I am so glad that I chose to do this and so very happy with the results!!
