2 years post-op - Revision Completed

So I finally had a revision completed after I was not satisfied with my results. It was way too WIDE from a frontal view (even after almost 2 years post-op) but he did do a nice job with the profile. Just know that speaker grafts EQUAL wide! I decided to go with Dr. Rohrich who I consulted with initially. My cast will be removed tomorrow - I will write a new review once I see it.

I am in literally almost the same position as you but used a doc inTN. I am planning to do my revision with Dr Rohrich also but have two more months to go. If I had known altering my bridge would have ruined the front view of my face I would have never done it.

Please share your pictures as soon as you are comfortable. I have had the same experience as you. Mine was done one month after yours.

6 Months Post-op

Overall, I'm still unhappy with my results. I figured after 6 months the majority of the swelling would have gone down. The profile looks better but I do have a slight bump that I didn’t have before (you can’t see it in the picture). From the frontal view, my nose is now so wide and larger in all dimensions. I have no idea how this happened based on my surgical goals and what Dr. Cochran said he did during surgery. He said he rasped my nasal bones which should have made it more narrow. My columella still appears to hang down, appears to be attached asymmetrically and I still have a distinct incision line on the left side. I’m still hoping that this wide and lumpy nose eventually will have definition, as it did before surgery. Praying for better news at my next post, but not much has changed over the past few months. I would appreciate some feedback if anyone else had similar results.

Hi, I dont mean to undermine your concerns, but I think it looks great, so natural and pretty!! I hope you can find a solution and feel better. Just wanted to say how good it looks to me!

I had bumps on both sides that were from osteotomies or rasping that was done and one side was worse and more noticeable (the bump was.) They did go down, but by a year they were still there, the one side still worse.
They didn’t go away until I had revision surgery.

I actually think the width looks more natural and less "pinched". But a persons nose goes with other areas of the face, especially the eyes, so if the new width makes a person look at your eyes first, then that is a good result!

Unfortunately I think my nose width now does not fit my face. I am lacking the contour and definition I once had. This was not something I asked for or expected from my consultation.

I don’t mind the wide bridge either unless it’s something you didn’t want, which is what it sounds like and I’m sorry to hear that. How is the bump healing on the side?

Still a bump on the right side. The width was suppose to remain the same. It is now much wider and does not fit my face. Another surgeon agreed that is was too wide and this was due to spreader grafts. Really bummed.

Check out Ivan Wayne. He’s in OKC and does a lot of revisions lately and lots of happy patients. I looked into Dallas area but I decided against it. I’m sorry hun. I’ve been there

With all due respect for your concerns, I just want to reassure you by saying your nose looks amazing. I can only pray for that result. You look beautiful.

I agree. Your nose looks amazing. Now whether you like the look or not is another issue, but I would be thrilled with that result.
