I am a mix of Hispanic, black, white and Indian. ...

I am a mix of Hispanic, black, white and Indian. My frame 5'3", 34C and over the years weight gain from 120 to 175. All my weight went to my stomach, back, arms and chest but very little to my butt. It stayed flat, a little meat at the bottom, but it mainly got wider along with my stomach. I always felt if I could just move the fat from my stomach to my butt I would have a better shape. I ran across the BBL looking up butt implants for someone else and I was hooked. Knowing that I was going to recycle my own fat cells and that there was a 100% guarantee that my body would not reject them I went into full research mode. The added benefit of getting liposuction of my stomach and back flanks to use as the fat transfer cells made the procedure more and more attractive to me. I was even more convinced when I read that most doctors recommended just 2-3 weeks of staying off your butt as part of the recovery. I did 2 1/2 weeks because I was able to maximize holiday time off with vacation time. IT WAS SO WORTH IT. Immediately after surgery my boyfriend and my daughter could tell - my waist was smaller, my stomach flat and my butt BIG! I had realistic expectations, reading that the real size of your butt would be around 4-6 months so I was not shocked when the swelling went down and it started to "shrink" - but I wanted that - I did not want a HUGE butt. I wanted a bubble, perky and shapely butt - along with a smaller waist. And that is exactly what I got. It felt hard for about 2 months and it started to soften and in fact my doctor told me that he thought that the size I am now would be the size I will stay. I suggest purchasing a massager with various heads, especially one with a point to work out the scar tissue and bring the skin back to being "soft". Stretching is a bit uncomfortable but the more you do it the better it gets. The small electric twinges from the liposuction is more pronounced right after the surgery but it goes away as time passes. They last maybe a few seconds. Wearing compression garments for 6 weeks took some getting use to, especially when it was time to go back to work, but in fact I got so use to them that I now wear them from time to time to help enhance my appearance in clothes - they smooth things out more and I want my waist to stay small and these help. If you've always wished you had just a little help here and there to contour your body, the BBL is for you. Be realistic about the expectations and you will be completely satisfied - be a better version of yourself, not someone else.

I had to wait two months for a consultation with Dr. Meade - but I knew it would be worth it because of his reputation. Dr. Meade was very thorough -- he listened to what I wanted and then told me realistically what I could get done. I had a consultation with another doctor who told me that he would recommend that I had a tummy tuck along with the liposuction and the BBL - because it would save money and that the "lip" of stomach hang over would come back. Dr. Meade told me that he did not recommend that because I would be in pain/discomfort already from the liposuction/BBL and the tummy tuck would make it worse. He also said that the elasticity of my skin seemed pretty good so there was a good chance that I would not even need the tummy tuck. He put 1,000 cc's in each butt cheek and shaped it so beautifully. He gave me some hips and concentrated on removing the fat from the stomach and obliques to give me an hourglass shape. He is a gifted artist because he made my body into a work of art. My boyfriend is thrilled, I love the looks I get and the way I feel in clothes and shopping for clothes. Dr. Meade is charming, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive.
