I normally do not write reviews unless it's extremely good or extremely bad and in this case it's horrific. I wouldn't have even rated his service a 1 star but this was the only way to leave a review. I went to Dr. kenkel on Jan. 9th 2017 to get a breast reduction and breast lift surgery. Prior to my surgery, I spoke with Dr. Kenkel on several occasions via email, phone and office visits in reference to my concerns of being scared, breast being to large after surgery or being disfigured. After speaking with him on numerous occasions and expressing my concerns he reassured me that everything was going to be okay and that he understood my concerns and that he was going to take care of me during surgery and not to worry. After a couple of months post op when my breast started to relax I noticed all these deformations were my breast were very uneven and my areola were positioned very far to the left and right of each breast. I also noticed that my left best nipple did not come out anymore. On top of that my left breast is folded under so bad its has a tuck of other breast tissue flapping over under my arm and on the side of my breast. My right breast has a entire stitch like that does not relax its stuck in a upwards position. So I began to make contact with the doctor to express my concerns via email and phone and each time was instructed to come into the clinic. After paying my co pay to revisit each time to express these areas of concerns I received to same response your breast are fine you have to give them time to heal is only been a couple of months they are still swollen and need to relax I had to stitch you up like this due to your skin was tight it will relax don't worry. At the 5month mark I went in and showed him again what I was seeing and the only response I was given is the insurance is not going to pay for you to have another breast reduction but I will submit an appeal but we do have something revision packages that you can pay for to cover a revision. The appeal was submit to my insurance and denied. When questioned my insurance why the appeal was denied, I was told do to the way the appeal was written, it was written as a want and not a medical need so it was denied. It's been 9months now and my breast has not gotten any better it has gotten worst.I have reached out to Dr. Kenkel several more times via email to try and work with him and come up with a resolution on how to fix this problem all I wanted was for my breast to be corrected and look nice that's all I was asking of him. I've even attached pictures to my email, called to the office to have him contact me and to no avail no response. Another thing is its not that the insurance company want pay for it because I have since went to another doctor taken care of all the paperwork and have been approved for some corrections its just he do not want to fix this mess he has made... Ladies please please DO NOT DO NOT ALLOW DR. KENKEL TO DO YOUR BREAST REDUCTION SAVE YOUR SELF THE TROUBLE THAT IM GOING THROUGH.. I am so depressed about my breast and how they look. I am embarrassed to take off my shirt or my bra I wear it every day every single min even to sleep. I don't not feel any kind of womenly appeal about my self anymore. This was the worst decision of my life. I can't stand to look at myself in the mirror now.
