Pixel Laser with Radio Frequency, Skin Resurfacing - Cremorne, NSW
Extremely painful Little...
Extremely painful
Little improvement
Expensive
I did it to treat pigmentation and scarring.
In August 2009 I went to Clearskincare in Cremorne and I was advised by the clinic to buy 3 pixel treatments for pigmentation.
The treatment was extremely painful and I had to stay home for at least 4 days. After the skin returned to normal conditions I was left with burn mark on my left cheek. I went back to the clinic and didn't want to go ahead with the remaining 2 treatments. I was then persuaded by the therapist in charge to continue. She said it would go away. I had the second treatment. The mark on my cheek went darker and I gained another one on the right cheek. I decided to discontinue the treatment and had a hard time getting a refund for my last treatment. The therapist didn't take my concern seriously and kept trying to remedy the scar. I had to meet the CEO to be able to be understood. It's been over 6 months and the overall condition of my skin didn't improve much. There's absolutely no significant change. I still have the same problem with pigmentation and scarring and now I have a bigger problem to treat which is the 2 burn marks on my cheek. It's definitely not worth the money and extreme pain, without mentioning time needed off work. In the end I had to buy several products to treat a problem caused by the treatment itself.

They advised to use hydroquinone. I just found unfair that I had to buy their own products to fix something caused by the treatment itself. Mainly because I was persuaded to undertake the second treatment which made it worst. Anyway I hope my review will be useful to alert others about the risks of such treatments and the careless behavior of certain professionals. I believe and hope that the scars will go away however it was a total waste of money for something that only caused me problems.
Thanks,

Hi pitoca,
Yeah that's not cool of them. I'm sure your review will be very helpful. How's everything looking today?
Thanks,
-Britt
The scars are still there, just as you can see in the photo I posted. I really hope my review will help others.
Cheers,
Pitoca

I'm sorry that you went through that, but thanks for taking the time to write a review.
I live in the area and have horrible pregnancy mask and stopped by to get pricing from them. When I asked the receptionist about cost( in my obviously pregnant state) she answered loudly in front of all the other customers that I would be careless to 'risk something to my baby'. I hadn't had a chance to even say that that I was looking for options for after the baby's delivery. I was mortified- and yet still I had been contemplating going to them out of sheer desperation.
This review confirms that my concerns that this outfit is 'not on'. I really hope that you find a solution. My regular MD referred me to a top-notch dermatologist, Dr Dawes-Higgs, in Northbridge. Perhaps she could help?
good luck
Thank you for the advice on the dermatologist. Don't ever go for any treatment with Clearskincare. I still have the marks on my face. It's passed more than 6 months and my face is still looking like the photo I posted. I remember about them every single day when I look into the mirror.
Hope you find the treatment for you.
:)
Hi pitoca,
Thank you for the review. I'm so sorry you now have burns to deal with on your face in addition to what you already were dealing with. I can't believe they didn't even help you find a way to fix it. Have you gone to another doctor to see if they could help? Please keep us updated to how the healing is going.
Thanks,
-Britt
