All I can say is OUCH. Had my revision today. A tightening of my tummy tuck and a bilateral dermatolipectomy. I have a drain again and an wearing another compression garment. I can't believe I put myself through another surgery. I didn't really want to be unhappy with the final results though.

Hi Emillie. Wow we live pretty close. I have to say overall I am glad I did this but the recovery is major. Most of my swelling went away at about 5 months PO. I haven't worn a garment since then until today. I just had my revision surgery and when i am able I will post a couple pictures. I am ok when I am sitting but it is impossible for me to get up by myself and is so painful to walk and everything, so this stinks. So,have you looked into any surgeons yet? Are you thinking you are getting a tummy tuck or are you just thinking about it?

Well I am almost 11 months out. I am up 10 pounds from surgery. I need to lose as much weight as I can before my revision surgery on August 10. I am getting a tightening of my tummy tuck and a bilateral dermatolipectomy.I am posting a picture to show where I am at right now. I will post other pictures around surgery time.

Wow girl! I am from Butler, PA (City of Butler) and have been contemplating getting a tummy tuck for awhile now. My story is about the same as yours, had my first child at 17, went up to 200lbs, from 117. I lost it all. Then, I had my second child a few years later, and went up to 220lbs, from 120! It's been a battle to lose it this time around though. I am almost to my goal weight and I am looking into this due to the fact that my stomach is a wreck! I have a map of the greater Pittsburgh area on my stomach - in s. mark form! Not to mention the extra skin! It sure doesn't do well for ones self image! But, I have been watching your updates and reading your story, and I am inspired by your journey, that's for sure! You look amazing and seem happier even though a lot of struggles have popped up. Is the swelling normal for 11 months post op? It seems like a long time to still have swelling! What does your husband think of it? He seems very supportive! Good luck and I hope to hear from you :)

I am planning on posting pictures again soon. It has been a long time since I have. I gained some weight and am in the process of losing it. So probably in a few weeks I will post some. I scheduled my revision surgery for August 10. Going to have to wear a compression garment again which I am not looking forward to but the recovery should be fast and easy.
