This was a very traumatic almost 12 months process. For my 30th birthday, I decided I would get a breast augmentation for a number of reasons. I always had cleavage but could never do it without a very padded bra to achieve the desired effect, this really limited my clothing choices and made me anxious when choosing styles. I am getting married early 2017 and didn't want the "oh but I can't wear a bra with that style of dress" be an issue as not wearing a bra was ever an option I'd feel comfortable about. After meeting three local plastic surgeons with no great success I decided to have the initial surgery overseas. The surgery went well no issues. Week four post op I had a haematoma after walking up a light house something my surgeon had cleared me for. That evening my breast swelled and the implant moved towards my collar bone on my left hand side. I desperately wanted a professional opinion which proved hard as my surgeon was overseas and could only communicate via email and photographs. After a lot of research I came across Dr. Guy Watts in Cottesloe WA. I was able to book a consultation with Dr. Watts who regretfully advised me the issue with my new implants was that the left hand side appeared to be constricted or commonly referred to as having capsular contraction.
Initially I was so very anxious about the complication and Dr Watts from the moment I met him worked with me by giving me reassurance, answers and time frames to work with to ensure I was ready for a capsuletomy something my overseas surgeon was ready to do immediately (something now on reflection would have been the worst way forward) . Dr Watts not only ensured I was in the best frame of mind for my surgery but made sure I was realistic in regards to outcomes. It has nearly been 12 months from the initial surgery and I am now two weeks out of the revision surgery and the results speak for themselves.

With my wedding fast approaching I was dredding to see my scar after my breast revision surgery. I had capsula contraction around four weeks post-op after going overseas for initial breast augmentation. Talk about devastated. Today 10 months on however it is a completely different story. I couldn't be happier with the results Dr Watts was able to achieve. Such amazing work, I can't help but brag!!!!

They look great! Did he go under the muscle. Did the cc return? Hope all is well.
So glad to hear your revision went well! Did you get a different type or size implant? Did you have both sides worked on or just the one side with CC? Thank you for sharing your story with us on RealSelf!
Extremely happy with the outcome!
Oh wonderful news! Keep us posted!
