It was all a bit of a whirlwind but I did it!!
I've been pretty sleepy most of the day, but know I'm wide awake and ready to share.
I didn't expect to have my procedure so soon, but I had a call from a nurse called Laura at Cosmos Clinic on Monday to say that someone had cancelled at the last minute and Dr Ajaka remembered me saying that I had time off and that I want a bootylicious butt asap and did I want it done on Today!! It was nice of him to remember and I jumped at the chance.
It was an early start at a local day hospital with a few butterflies but it was over before I knew it.
After filling a few form, and meeting the anaesthetist, Dr Ajaka and Dr Fascetti came in and set my mind to rest, they asked if I had any questions or needed anything explained again and started to get me ready, drawing around all the areas I wanted the fat out and where I wanted it put back in.
I am a little weight when it comes to medication and the last thing I remembered was the anaesthetist saying "I'm going to give you something to make you sleepy". I literally felt like I closed my eyes for a few seconds and then the nurse was telling me it was all done and she was going to put on my garment.
Getting squeezed into the garment was an experience, but the nurse were lovely, at this point I could definitely feel that something had been done but I wasn't feeling any pain.
Like I said I'm a light weight so once they moved to recovery I was back to sleep, the nurses woke me up a few time to check my blood pressure and after about an hour or so gave me a drink and a snack before getting me up and about. Being more awake I was feeling a little more, but still no pain just quite sore.
The nurses wrapped me up because I was leaking the anaesthetic fluid, I remembered Dr Ajaka had told me this was normal and that most of it had been sucked or pushed out when I was in theatre but will I will probably still leak a little for the next 24hrs.
Getting into the car was a bit of a challenge now that I'm not allowed to sit or lay on my new butt.
Back home I was feeling sleepy again so just went to bed for a couple of hours. The nurses at Cosmos had given me my prescriptions which I got on Monday so I'm was all set up for when the sedation and local anaesthetic completely wears off.
So far so good, I just need to get used to sleeping on my tummy for a while. I have an appointment for post op massage tomorrow and Dr AJaka said he'll pop in to check on how I'm doing.
Overall a great experience and I felt well looked after.

Results so far are great. I've had 3 post op massages so far and they are really happy with my progress. The restrictions on sitting have been a challenge but I don't want to do anything that may negatively impact my final so I'm being good and sticking to the instructions.

Also what was the overall costs? I'm still not sure where to go for bbl.. I wanted to go to the states But it's so expensive and I have to take my kids with me... I'm feeling great, the numbness to my Love handles has almost gone, pretty much feeling back to normal.
I was 70kg, Dr Ajaka said he took out about 2 litres and put about 600ml into each butt cheek. It cost me $15,000 which includes the day hospital fees. I was given the option of going to one of the other Cosmos Clinics where they do it in house so it costs less (but then would have to pay airfares and accommodation)

That's great you're feeling good :) I'm in Melbourne so old have to travel either to Sydney or Gold Coast.. I'm quite thin do I don't know which dr specialises in thinner patients.. How many areas and what areas did u get lipo? I was quoted $17,600 ftom Gold Coast!!! That's too much I think.... You look fabulous btw

I was quite curvy and I had lipo to my upper and lower tummy and love handles. Sorry I don't know of anyone who specialises in thinner patients but I would be skeptical of someone who doesn't do a thorough exam or doesn't measure you fat with those pincher things. I had a great experience at Cosmos in Sydney but good luck with finding the right Dr or you
Thanks

I can't believe it's been 4 weeks already! All is going well, the bruising and swelling is all gone, my love handles are still a bit numb (which feels weird) and I have some hardness around my belly button, but I have been assumed that this is normal. Forgot to get photos at my last massage so will wait until my 6 week follow up appointment
