4 weeks post op review
Everything was going well, but last night i noticed some seeping from one of my incisions. its like a clear yellow /blood fluid. not a huge amount but enough to freak me out. Ive changed from micro pore tape to Mepitac silicone tape now, the micropore was ripping off skin when i changed it and making my skin very dry. I'll keep an eye on my weepy incision and if it gets worse i'll contact the doctors office. taking photos of my underneath incisions has shown me that ive still got some puckering and my vertical incision on my right side is pinker and thicker than the vertical on my left. Much prefer the Mepitac tape as i can remove it to check on my incisions and then put it back again.

I used to have small breasts (B cup) but after i had my first child at age 23 they were deflated and saggy. in 2007 i had a breast lift and small 180cc implant put in. I was happy over all but noticed that i had discoloration around my areolas and needed a revision. Before i had a chance to get the revision i was pregnant with my second child and then a few years later i had my third (2016) after these pregnancies my breast tissue had grown so much that i was an E cup. I knew i wanted the old implants out and they were lost amongst my new big boobs anyway! I felt mumsy and was fed up with dressing to hide my chest. I'm also very active and wanted to be able to chase and play with my kids without having to worry about holding my chest while i ran. After another consultation with my chosen surgeon we decided to explant and do a reduction to take me to a B/ C cup. I was very nervous about having small children to take care of (16 months and 4) and i was told i would have to be careful lifting them for a few weeks. The day of my operation i was a nervous wreck as my check in time was 1-30 pm but the hospital staff were lovely and really put me at ease. My surgeon came to see me and mark up and we discussed size again. My final words were " as small as possible but with good shape". I was taken down to theater and woke up hours later. I have to say the hardest part of this whole experience was the anesthetic. It make me feel horrendous for days. I was still vomiting on day 3 post op and i couldn't even stomach mild pain killers. Good news there was that i didn't need them, the pain wasn't really pain, it was a slight, tight , burning feeling. by day 4 i was feeling more myself and went back home to the children. My husband did everything so that i could rest and by day 7 i was back at work (working from home). I'm now 3 weeks post op and writing this review. For those of you who have young children at home you will need help for 2 weeks. More the first 7 days, but you wont be able to lift them for a minimum of 2 weeks. only now am i really doing lifting in and out of car seats etc.. i am thrilled with my new breasts, they still need to settle and its early days but i am so happy.
