The breast reduction was the best thing that I have ever done. I have no more back pain, or migraines. I can now sleep comfortably, and wear cute tops... something that I had not been able to do before. I was so busty that shirts just didn't fit well. Before my surgery I just made sure to eat healthy. After my surgery, I was a bit worse for wear after, but not in terrible pain. Breast tissue is very fatty so there is not a lot of pain. I made sure to follow all the directions of the Dr. I could not lift my arms for about 2 weeks, so I needed a lot of assistance during the period immediately following my surgery, but then I quickly got back to my routine of daily exercise, (but mostly just walking at that point), dressing myself, showers, cooking. Any surgery takes a lot out of you, thinking that you will bounce back right after, may be a bit unrealistic, but it will happen in its own time. Resting, eating healthy, and moving around, helped things move along. Through it all, I had my share of worry, if things should look like this, or that, or is the swelling normal... but every doubt or fear was calmed, when I talked to the Dr. He is very reassuring, and caring.
This was the best thing that I have ever done for myself.
