My CoolSculpting Experience

I wanted to flatten my stomach, so I had a couple of consults for lipo, which always included a tummy tuck to a cost of 9 to 15k.
I wasn’t too excited to do that due to the pain I perceived and having to wear a compression garment for so long, So I’ve been researched CoolSculpting for about a year.
Finally decided to do it. I got in with mirror mirror the same day I decided to take the plunge.
Jackie too a lot if time with me, explaining the procedure and choosing how she would lay the applicators. She did one applicator on my lower abdomen first. The machine sucks your skin in, like a vacuum would. It slowly starts to cool down. For me, the feeling was weird, but fine. No issues. Then you go numb and the machine runs for 45 minutes.
Then they remove it. I cannot stress enough, this is painful. Once the applicators is removed, every second is excruciating for about 15 minutes (for me). I was writhing, thought I would faint and throw up. Neither happened but I almost didn’t proceed with the upper abdomen. After 15 minutes, it became tolerable enough to proceed, but I also thought if I didn’t do it then, I wouldn’t be back.
So we repeated the process on my upper abdomen. Same pain after of course.
I gathered myself together and left the building. For the next week or two I was swollen and bruised and numbish. I also started to urinate a lot for several weeks. For me, in a week, I could tell a slight difference. The numbness, nerves coming back to life and the overall weird uncomfortable feeling lasted for 2 months. Everyone is different, and every area is different, so it could be much easier for someone else.
My results are so good after one treatment, that I changed my follow up appt to address my flanks. This time I took 1/2 of a hydrocodone right when the procedure started. That helped. Still painful, but I can wear clothes without pain, and I’m not having any of the pain issues I had with my abdomen.
I will do two more rounds, one on my abdomen and again on my flanks. I “should” be done after that.
Worth every penny. It DOES work.
