Reviews you can trust, from real people like you.
How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Coolsculpt Mini
I want anyone who reads this to be able to make an informed decision. I think some reviews on here may have been following discounted procedures and less reputable businesses. I have had mine at a very reputable clinic in Berkshire, UK, and believe this will be a truer reflection of the effectiveness of this treatment. I’m also not naming the clinic as again, I want people to know this is an honest, consumer review.
I opted for this procedure because I’m fed up of being a slim person with a double chin! No matter what I weigh, the little loose bag of fat under my chin remains. No fair!
My treatment was 2 cycles (45 mins each side) in one go costing £1,600. Find it strange that people have this done as 2 separate cycles! Wouldn’t that make things a bit?....Wonky?
A bit about me as of today, 20th April 2018:
My current weight is 8st 8lb (54.5kg / 120lbs) and I’m 5ft 4” (162.5 cms). I’m toned and go to the gym between 3 and 5 times a week where I do cardio gym classes and a weight training class.
I had my treatment on 14th April 2018. I hadn’t read any reviews beforehand, which is very unlike me, but I’ve read plenty since! Why? Because the disclaimer I had to sign prior to the treatment, freaked me out. Specifically “you cannot claim a refund if you don’t notice any difference”.... wait a minute!! I’m a “Perfect Candidate for the Cool Mini”!! Or so they’ve told me (which is why I’m having the treatment!!). Also, this is a leap of faith when the results won’t really show for 12 weeks (that’s 3 months people!!).
Having now read other comments, the “perfect candidate” seems to be the key phrase from whoever you choose to get your cool mini from. It’s actually cringeworthy knowing this and (now) a very obvious sales technique.
Anyway! I had already committed to this treatment in my head and sometimes, despite reviews or shady disclaimers, you have to take a leap of faith and find out for yourself.
The treatment is, as most reviews on here have already said. It’s not especially comfortable as it’s in an awkward area. It’s most uncomfortable at the start (at least the first 10 minutes) and I honestly thought about backing out at this point. However, I was already briefed by the consultant about this, so knew I’d just have to ride it out. The rest of the cycle was fine with a bit of neck discomfort which I alleviated slightly by bringing my knees up.
The end of the cycle is where you will feel the most discomfort. I tend to think my pain threshold is quite high, but I almost cried. It’s like someone rubbing an open graze. It doesn’t last long, but feels like ages! That’s it though! No other hidden hurties. I didn’t bruise at all, which I’m major pleased about, and although it was tender to the touch for 2 days, that’s now gone and I’ve just got the numbness that everyone else experiences.
So, I draw to a close. The pictures below are 2 days post treatment. I have to say, I think that I’m slightly swollen here but I’m used to having a fat chin, so I couldn’t really tell the difference.
I will keep you posted at the 3 week mark (5th May 2018) with some new pics and again at the 12 week mark (14th July).
