16 Days Post Op

Hi all, so, I'm 16 days post op, and I'm loving the way my body looks. :) I'm massaging daily, and doing displacement exercises. I'd say sleeping was an issue the first few days after I came off the meds, but I'm back to deep, peaceful sleep. I took a week off work, and should have taken one extra day, since the Monday back was hard, but Tuesday was fine. I got my stitches out this past Tuesday, and people on Instagram are already saying they look great for how young they are. Definitely follow me ****. It's sooo supportive and you learn so much!! Here are some photos.Honestly, the surgery was definitely worth it -- I have to get an admin to update this :) I really am loving my results more and more each day. I love having cleavage in regular clothes, and I feel so much more balanced and more sexy and like a woman. It's funny I also used to really dislike my hips and feel self conscious about them, but now that I have the implants, I don't mind them at all!! Here are a bunch of photos

Got the girls upgraded yesterday! first reveal was the post-op appt today.

The pain hasn't been too bad, there's certain things that are more difficult to do, like open the medicine caps and getting into/out of bed (READ: Do full situps to make this part as easy as possible.

Make sure to also have bendy straws on hand, and if you can one of the husband-style arm chair pillows to help you sleep upright.

II have major cleavage right now, I can't wait to see them drop and fluff :) I've been really lucky too, my mom and boyfriend have been here taking care of me and my best friend and sister are supposed to come too!

Post Pre-Op Update

I just got home from the pre-op, which took a bit longer than I thought, but that's a good thing! I left there knowing the sizes they are ordering, having met the second board-certified surgeon that's in during the surgery, and with five prescriptions, haha.

We decided on 475 & 500 High Profile Smooth Round Mentors. Basically, the doctors want 475s, but the nurse asked me after if I wanted them to order the 500's to see what looks better when they toss 'em in there. If you don't know, generally they do order two sizes, and they sit you up after they insert them in your body before closing you up to make sure everything looks good. I feel extra lucky because now I know I will have the expertise of not ONE board certified surgeon, but TWO! And they are both perfectionists. My surgeon does mostly mod+s, but he's been around for about 30 years so he was telling me about when he first started how a 250 cc implant was considered large, and now 450-500s are on the larger end. He told me I will be his first High Profile in that size (475-500), which I think is a good thing.

Why did I make the decision for HP? My natural breast seems to have more fullness in the bottom, and I like the rounded look at the top -- I suppose it would be considered a bit "more fake" - but I'm okay with that -- also, I think I will have side-boob anyway since my boobs naturally have side boob, and they say that implants build on what you already have.

I absolutely love my surgeon, he is so nice and friendly. We even started talking about instagram, LOL.

Anyway I'm super excited, and I'm happy to be on the larger end of things, because it matches my personality (attention getter).

I can't wait to share pics with you after. Unfortunately, they don't let me see them until the day after surgery -- I will be leaving with a surgery bra and possible a compression band thing, and also stockings! they do the stockings because since I'm on oral birth control, I have a higher risk of developing some kind of vein thing, so they put those on you to stop it happening. Seems pretty hot out for stockings, but whatever.

Funny things I have to stop taking two weeks before surgery: Fish Oil, my multi-vitamin, and calcium chew. But they recommend taking extra vitamin C, and getting Arnica pills to help with the swelling and bruising if I want to.

Any other questions, feel free to comment!!

Dr. Brooke Seckel is awesome. From the moment I met him he put me at ease, and I was fairly nervous. He always wears his cheerful red bow tie, which is funny at first and then becomes endearing. He made me feel confident about the procedure, spent as much time at the consult as I wanted, answered every single question, and demonstrated with his answers that it was far from his first rodeo :) He loves telling the story about how when he started 30 years ago, everyone got 250 cc's -- and that was big. And how things have changed over the years. So be ready to hear that story!! :D He's also very complimentary, you'll get an ego boost just from visiting. When you walk into the office, you'll notice a few magazine articles naming him top surgeon this and top surgeon that. You can also see those on his website. When it comes time for surgery, he's all business. Gone was the happy-go-lucky surgeon with the red bow tie; instead was surgeon who you knew had years of medical expertise under his belt. Everything went very smoothly. He also spent time with me at the pre-op visit, which I guess is unusual -- some girls only visit with the nurse. And, although he was used to using moderate+ implants, I explained why I had decided I wanted High Profile instead. So, he ordered the high profiles :). He also double-checked my measurements. Before I went to the consult, I actually didn't really know I had any unevenness going on up top. But turns out one is about 25 cc larger than the other (or, was) and my nipples are very slightly uneven, about 0.5cm. So, he did something in surgery to even them out :). ***** As an added bonus, you get not one board certified surgeon, but two! Dr. Doherty is also in the operating room with you, so you get two opinions during surgery which helps for a more perfect outcome :D Finally, my mom has been a nurse for years, and she's all business as well. She was very impressed with the folder of information that the office sends home with you, and agreed with all of the medications they prescribed -- she said it was very good of them to prescribe the behind-the-ear anti-nausea patch. Just from that, she knew I was in good hands. He responds super-fast to any emails you send, so he's very accessible which I like. I give him and his staff my highest recommendations. And I will definitely be back when it comes time to do my lips, or if one day I need a tummy tuck after I have kids :D
