This Surgeon was absolutely rude to me and my mother and completely refused to see me for an appointment which was made by his team incorrectly, and refused to speak to me despite the allocated time slot and appointment made. He was even walking around the hallways, and knew I was there. Based on this I didn't even bother paying him any money for a consultation and nor would I even consider it in the future. General care and manners should be a given in his field. He is meant to be helping people in need, and listening to their concerns instead of snubbing them and only thinking of where he can "cash in". BEWARE

Very sorry you feel like this, but I believe you booked for a cosmetic surgery procedure in my PUBLIC HOSPITAL OUTPATIENT CLINIC - which is for acute injuries, cancer and reconstructive plastic surgery. We are not allowed to see cosmetic surgery consults in the public hospital. The booking error was made by the common hospital outpatient booking service, and has nothing to do with me, my office, nor my staff. Also I am glad you "didn't bother paying ... any money" as this is a FREE public hospital clinic, and no-one has to pay. I can also assure you that the salary I am paid to provide my public service is not "cashing in". Regards, Dr Steve Merten
