Do your research!!

Okay, so my 1 year anniversary is coming up March 5th. My skin on my stomach has began to sag. Standing up, I can grab a handful of skin at both ends of my incision. Slightly bending over, one side of my incision the skin literally rolls over the scar. Bending completely over or sitting down, the skin is saggy and wrinkly. I will be getting a second opinion, but speaking with another plastic surgeon over the phone, he seems to think Dr. McMahan did lipo too much in one spot, where there wasn't much fat to remove. There is literally nothing between my skin and muscle, and the skin is excessively wrinkly. The skin above my new belly button is nice, but I have a pooch sticking out. When I spoke with Dr. McMahan about it, he said it was just fat and that I needed a little lipo to that area as well. I went on a low fat diet and exercised more, but it just is not budging much. When I went to see him addressing my concerns twice, he summed it up quickly and made it out that everything was okay and nothing was wrong. When I wanted answers and wanted to discuss a revision, he sent me a nasty 3 page letter in the mail! In the letter, he capitalized many words and used many explanation marks. Almost as if he were yelling at me. To me, that is just unprofessional, as a board surgeon, when someone is concerned. Especially with the amount of money that is spent with plastic surgery. He said his results are only to be seen from standing up. Who stands up all day long? That sounds like he doesn't care about the results, he wants the quick money and toss you out the door! And if I'm correct, we are at an angle during surgery to remove skin and pulled it together?! I followed EVERY step after surgery and listened to everything he said. I made extra appointments when I felt like things were going wrong. When I started noticing changes around 3 months post op, I addressed everything to him. He just shoved my concerns to the side and said everything was fine. The last visit I had with him, I left in tears and he just did not care. Instead, he stared at me as I was standing there naked. He pulled out my before pictures and said I looked better than those. Yes, that is true. But, as a paying patient to plastic surgery, we want the best. Not perfection, but the best. All I want to know is why my skin is so wrinkly, why my stomach is NOT flat when he promised me, and I want a revision on the loose skin to make it tighter and even. Instead, he ended his letter stating he does not think I should be having any more plastic surgery in the future. As a woman and a paying customer, this is not okay with me. His results were great when everything was taped and wrapped up. But once I started to live my normal life again, the looseness became very bothersome. Please, read reviews from customers months and years down the road. I am not even 1 year post op, and I already am seeing another surgeon for a revision because this greedy surgeon cannot help me! He's all in it for the money. Once he has it, he doesn't care about your thoughts, feelings, and opinions afterwards. Do your research ladies!!!!

To add, I am not a large woman. I am a fairly smaller person. I eat healthy and workout. I have a healthy lifestyle. I weigh the same as the day I came home from surgery! I have done nothing wrong.

Dr McMahan is an amazing artist. I call him that...

Dr McMahan is an amazing artist. I call him that because of the work he can perform. He completely erased every detail of proof that I had kids. I have a 5 year old and 2 year old twins. I ended up with severe diastasis, an umbilical hernia, and major twin skin. I also had saggy books from breastfeeding. I had a TT with MR, HR, BA with silicone implants under the muscles (350cc and 375cc), and free lipo to the flanks. During surgery, he even discovered a second large hernia hidden behind the first. He repaired it as well, at no extra charge. I'm very happy with how the scar turned out, with my belly button, with how flat my tummy is now, and with how confident he made me feel again!!!!! He is a MUST!!! Everything looks very natural!! He is also very friendly and funny. I'm glad I did you research and chose him as my surgeon.

He spends quality time with you before your surgery, but after your surgery he could care less!! Seems to be only in it for the money, and not a woman's feelings, thoughts, and concerns!
