So far so good! Consultation went great, very personable and spends a lot of time with you himself. So far we've decided on a full breast lift no implants, full tummy tuck, liposuction to back roll, sub-axilla, and arms.. flank/waist lipo to be determined! We've consulted once but after taking some before pics I think I may need lipo to the flanks/waist to get the results I want. I didn't think my flanks bothered me too much but, after really thinking about it again, and looking at my before pics objectively, I want the whole "tire" around my waist gone! I think I've just been so focused on the front because it's what I see every day that I ignored my backside concerns! I'm going to see him again and further discuss options. I hope he can add the extra lipo in as far as anesthesia time is concerned. I think, if I have to choose, I'll wait on the arm lipo in favor of the flanks, but I'm hoping for both! He did a great job listening, answering questions and explaining in the first consult and I knew I wanted to book with him right away. I've seen 3 other surgeons for consults prior to my consult with Dr. McMahan, and I'm confident I'm making the right choice! Out of the 4 surgeons I saw including him, he was the only one who met me first in his office with all my clothes on to talk prior to having me getting undressed. What a nice touch, I felt very respected! I wish I didn't have to wait so long, but time off work is dictating my timeline.
A little about me... I'm 41 y/o 5' 3.5" 164.5 lbs, no kids. I had VSG a little over 2 years ago. My high weight was 233 lbs, lowest after VSG was 153.5 lbs but I gained some back on purpose to add breast volume prior to this surgery. My breast volume is nice between about 156 lbs and 164 lbs. When I start to drop below about 155 lbs, I lose volume in my breasts but the belly stays the same! I do plan to lose a few pounds prior to surgery. Ultimately I want to be under 160 prior to surgery for best results without needing implants. I'm willing to get more lipo in the future if I feel like I need it. I'm so ready for this, come on January!

Second consult went great! Now getting sclerotherapy for my leg spider veins, and have a consult for laser hair removal tomorrow

I saw my surgeon again. He agreed I would get more bang for my buck and overall better transformation with liposuction to my hips and bra-roll, still include sub-axillary area, and not do arms at this surgery due to time restraints for anesthesia. I am hoping the arms and legs will come together once I can work out again after surgery. If not, maybe lipo to those areas in the future. Surgery feels so close yet so far away! I am dying to get through the holidays already! I'm making lists of things I need. Already got a few things.. a walker, toilet seat riser, pill box, and a 60 day kit of embrace scar therapy for mommy makeovers! Still need a shower chair, comfy post op clothes, medical wound care supplies, and a few other things. Just an FYI for those reading, get gauze that is antimicrobial and sterile, it kills MSSA and MRSA, so its a great preventative! I think drain sponges/gauze is available this way.
For the sclerotherapy, I've already had one treatment, last year, and as expected it made things a little worse. I couldn't keep up with treatments, or rather didn't want to until now, so I'm getting my second treatment tomorrow! First I have a laser hair removal consult though.. thinking definitely Brazilian, possibly underarms and legs depending on cost. My leg hair isn't really thick though and only takes me a few minutes to shave. I don't even really have to shave above my knees. Bikini zone is another story though.. and I get bad razor burn when I try to keep up on it by shaving! So, I think I'll be able to get two treatments in before my surgery in January! Here's hoping there will be enough hair reduction after the second treatment to reduce infection risk of the tummy tuck scar!
