Things are coming along. Swelling is still there but slowly getting better. I definitely still see it in my thighs! My incisions are doing well. My skin is sensitive, and you can see where it has torn from tape along some of the incision lines. I'm using hydrocolloid dressings to help them heal. I have a few places where stitches have spit. My belly button.. it's a cute innie but I did pop a few stitches inside on the lower aspect. Surgeon appointment today to debride and clean out, maybe place a few sutures where they broke! It is definitely something hard to show you and pictures and hard to notice at all unless you're in there with a magnifying glass or loops like he wears looking at it. But hes a perfectionist and I like that! I like that he doesn't want to just leave it the way it is although it doesn't look bad now, later it might pop out more if we don't fix it.

Everything looks good so far! Hope everything is healing by now! How are you feeling since this post?

Hey hi! I'm doing really well! Still some minor swelling, but not too bad. I'm wearing a foam ear plug in my belly button while it continues to heal. The top looks normal, the bottom part doesn't look bad.. I'd call it hollow.. but it's still an innie! Surgeon has tried suturing it twice with no luck! So we are just going to let it heal slowly with the foam in place so it doesn't close up completely! I'm planning to post pics again soon! Been so busy with wedding planning lately! I did finally start back at the gym this week! Boy that was a shock to my system! Hope all is well with you too! ;)

Ok, some more pics in clothes this time. My incisions are healing really well! The swelling is going down every day. I'm down to 156.6 lbs this morning! Went shopping for Jean's today...I'm wearing a size 9 in juniors! Still a little more swelling to go... I'm wearing compression stockings up to my thighs with compression socks to my knees and a compression garment that goes down to my knees every day. I think it's helping a lot with the swelling!

I was wearing a woman's size 12 pants prior to surgery, and had a muffin top!

Thanks! I still have moments where I catch myself in a mirror and don't recognize myself! It's a wonderful adjustment to have to make! :)

Finally got the last drain out Monday...hence the big bandage on my right hip, as it still occasionally drains a small amount of serous fluid! My swelling is coming down. He removed about 8 lbs of fat and skin, and today I am just now down to my day of surgery weight 162.5 lbs. I'm probably still about 8-10 lbs swollen. So I can't wait to see how these curves develop! Also, I was using the regular white binder they give you immediately post op for the 1st week and a 1/2... But I finally ordered a much nicer binder. It's by a company called Design Veronique. Even though I didn't have any fat grafting, I bought the binder for fat grafting with a bra, because it lets your butt have more of its own natural curve instead of being completely compressed with the rest of the binder... and gives an over all lovely shape in clothing! It also has a nice size opening front to back so you can use the bathroom without taking it off. This opening is well hemmed and stays in place when you put it aside so it doesn't get messy and it doesn't tear or rip, at least so far! I'm loving this thing! I bought it in black and white! I will say while I was using the surgical binder given to me at surgery, I found it so much easier, softer, and nicer on my skin to wear a tank top underneath that binder. My belly button is a complete innie. I love that I don't have an outer ring belly button scar! I highly recommend finding a surgeon who takes the time to tack the belly button-down inside to the abdominal wall to give you an innie! My scars are healing so nicely. I am very very happy with my surgeon!

I’m so nervous. Plus, I have a one year old to care for so i’m worried about recovery. My husband will be there to help for the first 10 day or so then my 10 year old goes on spring break so I will have her home to help. But once I hit the three week mark I’ll be on my own with my toddler for most of the day.

Oh wow! Three weeks out with a toddler all by yourself during the day? Honey you better kid proof to the max and confine the toddler and yourself to like, one room! You won't be able to pick a toddler up at 3 weeks...10 pound weight restriction max! I would be thinking about short term daycare or baby sitter if I were you!
