Hi RS I know we all heal different but has anyone had open stitches? I had them since week 2. Its getting larger instead of smaller. I have contacted my PS and have followed his instructions. I am now 3.5 Weeks post and still stiff and unable to move around like I want not to mention swelling.

I'm going to DR for a vacation and I will not be able to get in any water with open wounds.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Hey Lady, have you talked to your surgeon about these open areas?? You should not leave the country without figuring out what is going on here.

I had my surgery in GA. Yes I contact him and was told to keep it clean and cover with a pad. I was looking to see if anyone else had suggestions.

I read your previous post about "trying to straighten up"....I wonder if you may have stretched the incision, causing it to open by trying to straighten up. Do you know of anything else that might have caused this?

I am having sx with Dr. Cochran and I need to know any and all precautions as well. I will be traveling there from Atlanta (2 hour drive).

I was considering Dr. Cochran for my TT. It seems that a lot of surgeries he performs the patisn't so are left with blisters or open wounds. The cost is low the work isn't great. I have changed my mind flying to GA. for surgery. I wouldn't go on any vacation before having that looked at. God Bless! Good look.

I spelled patients wrong. The patients are left with blisters. or incision area is coming open.

Hi RS it has been 2weeks since I came to the flatside. Finally took my drains out. What a relief. Now I have a tingling piercing pain all over that comes n goes. I had major blisters that are now healing and is itchy. Standing 90% upright but I am moving slow....ready to get back to normal. I am swollen but i love my results. I am going on a girls getaway April 16 to DR so Im hoping my scars from blisters heal and fade away. Any suggestions? I was told only to put cocoa butter on the incision until 6 weeks.

I got a lot of those blisters too..ugh they are a pain in the butt bc they itch so much. i ordered some new gel+ for the scar. It works well for my old scars. cocoa butter works well too. Also try bio oil or shea butter. Happy healing
