After many years of considering to do this procedure, I've finally come to the conclusion to do it! My body hasn't been the same since I had my 12 year old son. Motherhood is a beautiful gift and I wouldn't give it back for anything, but it's time to do something for me that will make me happier with my body. I've read numerous reviews on Dr. Cochran and surprisingly they are all positive, which made the decision process that much easier. I went to my free consultation (on 3/9/15) and was pleased with the visit. Dr. Cochran answered all my questions without hesitation, showed me where the incision will be, explained that I do not need abdominal muscle repair and stated he will also do lipo of my waist line (flanks) in the total cost. That day I didn't make my final decision, because I was still unsure. I researched Dr. Cochran as much as I could and I'm satisfied that he is the Plastic Surgeon for me! Just yesterday (3/26/15), I called and paid my deposit ($250)!! I wanted to get the surgery done in May, but Dr. Cochran is booked! I was shocked, because May was open when I went to my consultation just a few weeks ago. Anyway I'm scheduled for 6/4/15, six days before my 36th birthday! I graduate from college on May 8th, so this will be a graduation/birthday gift to myself! I'm 5'6, 165 and curvy (booty, hips and thighs). I'm semi-active, I try to go to the gym at least 3 days a week. I hope to lose 10 lb. before the surgery. If I get the nerve, I'll post some photos of what I'm working with now

30 day Countdown!!
I have so many things coming up, I don't know where to start. Finishing up my finals and preparing for graduation on 5/8. This is surreal! I owe $1000 on my surgery and plan to pay the balance this week. Idk but sometimes you just hang onto money because you don't want to let it go. Lol! The upcoming surgery hasn't hit me yet because I'm so excited for graduating! I'm sure after this milestone, I'll become completely engulfed with the anticipation of this surgery. Time is flying by so fast.

I soooo understand holding on to the money. I have the money to pay in full but ooooo, the thought of that chunk deflating my accounts scares the crap out of me! One thing I'm doing is paying as much as I can out of my upcoming pay checks so I won't use all the alotted $$ out of my savings. I heard about a cream for scaring before the surgery on the radio and I'm trying to remember the name.

Hey hunni. Just as you said, you don't look bad now, so when you have your procedure, you are going to be sexy mama lol. Your waist is small now. Lord knows I know how you feel about coming up off of money lol. It's not easy to save, so when you see a dent in your acct, its hard. It will be worth it though. :)

You do look good now but afterwards you will feel great about how you feel. I am also looking forward to this process as mine is schedule for May 27th. I know about the whole graduating thing as well as I finished my Bachelor's degree in December. I have a lot this month going on but this seems to be helping me with the anticipation. My youngest daughter is graduating elementary school this month. I know that is not the biggest thing in her life but it is a big deal to me that I will not have an elementary school child anymore. I know all about the money as well as I just paid mine in full. I am counting the days now. Keep me posted as yours is only about a week after mine. Good luck!

Thanks so much. Now that I've graduated, I'm solely focused on this surgery. I'm so nervous it's crazy. I still can't believe I'm actually going through with this. I will stay updated and my prayers go out to you. The 27th is fast approaching.

Yes it is fast approaching. I cannot believe it is only 2 weeks away and everything that I have to do before then. Ugggh. I am going to be exhausted before that time. I will try to keep mine updated. Best wishes to you!!! Congratulations on your graduation!

hey there ehoney. you already look good so I know you will have some great results. my sx is coming up in june also. its June 12th maybe we can be recovery buddies. please keep up all posted. I also have 1300 left to pay, but haven't paid it becuz my account will lock ugly afterwards.. lol sad but true. but I know in the end of the day. all will be okay

Yay!! June 12th, two days after my b-day. Lol. I'm full of emotions about this. Scared, nervous, anxious and excited. I paid $550 the other day and owe $500. I think I'll just wait to pay the balance at my pre-op appt. I'll definitely keep posting as often as I can. Surgery buddies!! Lol

Absolutely! I'm staying overnight in the hospital, so it may be the next day. I guess it'll depend on how I feel.
