Bicycling

Well one of my last fears has been taken -riding my bicycle again. First I'm not the best at biking as I did not learn to ride until I was 18 years old, so I'm not the best. Even before the surgery I could always feel the work in my abs when we finished riding. We only rode about 4 miles and I wore a waist trimmer but I was worried. Well I awoke the next morning to some very slight tenderness but felt fine. Final test is Pilates. Will probably wait another week or so for that.
Other than that still microneedling 2x daily- once with Bio Oil (am) and once with Ambi Fade Cream (pm).

Updates (Kinda Long)

Well I'm kinda still in my healing process phase. My skin still feels strange to the touch-kinda numb in areas. I also am adjusting to what looks like my stomach which looks like a concaved area; which is really weird and my muscles being soo tight. Prior to surgery I held my stomach in so much because the hernia would hurt if I didn't, now I need to re-train myself to not hold it in- not there yet. I stopped wearing my faja because I didnt want my stomach to look too concaved. The first week after I stopped wearing the faja, my skin felt very tender every night. It did pass, but it was slightly uncomfortable for awhile. I have returned to my normal routine- back to running my 3 miles each morning- I do still wear a waist trainer when I run, for me it's probably a security thing. I just feel better with it on. I haven't done my Pilates yet kinda freaked out about those core exercises- still waiting for this.
In my earlier posts I was still concerned about the area below my BB. It's still there, but it is smaller and not quite as hard. I'm still massaging nightly hoping it will get even better.
I am continuing to use the Bio-oil everyday. I used the Embrace Scar therapy strips, focusing on both edges of my incision as they are the ones that appear over my jean line. They seemed to have made some improvement but they didn't stay on the entire 10 days they were suppose to stay on. One stayed for 6 days and the other was so loose at 9 days it was barely stable. I purchased from Amazon with the intent to buy the more expensive package if these worked. I think the results were okay. I think I will try a few other less expensive options.
This week I started to microneedle my incision scar. I had a microneedle from doing it a few years ago on my face. So I will be microneedling 2x a day and using fade cream for the next 30 days to see if that helps reduce the scar line. Today is my 2nd day and I'm a little bit tender. I think I will need to be really careful because I'm still numb in some places and I can't always tell the exact pressure to use. When I did it on my face I COULD definitely tell!

Check up This Week

Okay had a doctor's appt this week, I have been cleared to exercise again fully. I have been walking on/off for a bit now, but no running yet. Maybe Ill start that sooner. There is still some discomfort when I sneeze and OMG its beginning to be allergy SPRING season around here so I'm hoping this passes sooner rather than later. Doctor believes the area below my BB will continue to improve with the nightly massages so I will continue to do them using the BIO-OIL, at least until the final appointment in a few months.

I have not met the doctor but his email contact staff has been wonderful-particularly Gail. They have been prompt in answering any/all of my questions, and getting me information timely.
