Hi-Love, for what I read the nicotine slow the healing process and the scaring, Dr recommends to stop at list 6 weeks before surgery, because Nicotine increases the risk for infection, skin necrosis, and wound healing, your blood vessel need clean oxygen, hope this little info help.

Thank you but I'm taking years plus multi vitamins and I stop smoking like a week ago...but I'm not a cigarette smoker if you know what I mean lol

What day are you scheduled for surgery? Do you have enough time to stop for the recommended 6 weeks? In other words, are you just asking so you know or are you already a week away from surgery? If not, I wouldn't risk it. If you just smoked that one time, but haven't for the rest of the six weeks, it may not be a big deal. Good luck.

My PS recommend me stop smoking 2 weeks before my surgery trust me I wouldn't risk my life over some smoke lol

Don't start smoking it will make your blood thin and you'll be more likely to bleed all over the place in the drains are friends section of the blood is in your stomach if so come out and you'll be one for after work and they bleed a lot

I didn't have any problems with my healing I actually started back smoking 1week after but I didn't use any tobacco products so I was good

Ok surgery went great and I really don't remember a thing after that IV went into my neck lol but that was the good part cause I tell I was nervous as heck almost punk out but luckily I didn't but everything was just fine here's some of my photos after
