I started developing when I was around 10 years...

I started developing when I was around 10 years old and it caused nothing but problems throughout my life. I was uncomfortable all the time, insecure about the way they looked, always struggling to find clothes that fit properly. I decided back when I was a teenager that I was going to have this procedure done once I was old enough, and that's what I did.

I met with two different surgeons for consultations and ultimately decided that I wanted Dr. Grawe to do the operation based on the experience I'd had meeting her and her staff, and the reviews I had read online. We scheduled the surgery for April and then we just had to wait, and eat lots of protein.

The day of the procedure, I had to be there two hours early to get checked in and ready to go. My surgery was right on schedule which I really appreciated because I'd heard that sometimes it could be off schedule by hours. The hospital was nice and the staff was all very helpful and caring.

After I woke up from my surgery, I was groggy for awhile but I wasn't in pain. I got home and slept on and off for the rest of the day and most of the day following that. It wasn't uncomfortable for me to do basic things like walking around or eating. But I definitely think you're better off if you have someone around to help with things might not think about. Getting dressed, changing the bandages in your bra, picking up things that are out of the approved weight range, getting things from the top shelf, getting you in and out of bed (for the first day really). It's frustrating at first to not be able to take care of yourself, but it's worth it ultimately.

Now when I was first reading reviews and watching them on youtube, I noticed that a lot of people said they were off their painkillers within like two days of their surgery so that's what I was expecting. And I was wrong. I have a fairly high pain tolerance but I was on my percocet literally until I ran out of them and then I had ten more prescribed so that I could sleep at night. It took me a few weeks before I could come off of them full time and start just taking them at night. But sleeping is uncomfortable because you're limited in the positions you can lay in for quite awhile and the pain didn't help. Everyone is different with in the way they handle this kind of pain, so if you go into it expecting to not ever need more than two pills just don't be surprised if you're completely wrong. Trust your body and be safe. Also, when I was coming off the morphine that second or third day after my surgery, it made me incredibly emotional and I was having like crying fits for seemingly no reason. This isn't that bad but it is hilarious and you shouldn't be too freaked out if it happens to you.

It takes awhile before they start to look like boobs again. It's been nine weeks since my surgery and they've just recently begun to drop down to their position and shape. You should use your scar cream as soon as they give it to you because I kept forgetting for the longest time and I'm just now starting to use it regularly. It's better to just take care of it from the jump and get it done.

TL;DR: This review is very messy and disorganized, but I definitely recommend this surgery if you've been considering it, and it's been worth it 100%
