After agonizing for YEARS over this I finally decided to just do it, it was a struggle. I'm usually a very decisive person but this descision did not come easy. Once I told myself "ok, I'm gonna do this" then there were 100 more questions and descisions I had to make. This forum has helped me a lot in my descision making process so I figured I would pay it forward.
I chose over the muscle for the easier recovery time, and the fact that I'm a work out fanatic. The question of over vs under had me seriously questioning my sanity lol I eventually decided to do a pros/cons list, (I'm a visual learner) and that's what helped me with that descision. I go in for my preop on the 14th of December and I'm super stoked, I'm ready to get this done and get onto recovery. I'll post more once I have my preop completed.

Went to my post op, it was fast and straight to the point. Settled on 325 silicone over muscle Just ready to get this done. Based on most of the reviews I've read so far I went out and got some stool softener, ice packs and a few days worth of easy stuff for my girls to make for dinner. Ps told me no bras for a little bit, but I did get some front closure post op bras for when I do start wearing them. The stories I read about post op weight gain have motivated me to really zero in on my diet and stay disciplined with my workouts these past months. Not workin out for a couple weeks is going to mess with my head a little bit but I know in the end it will be worth it. I'm not nervous yet, just ready for this to happen.

Day of treatment
Surgery day!

Surgery went really well, the process was super easy. Signed in at 930am and was getting marked up by 1000. I dont even remember being wheeled in the operating room. I woke up and it felt like a had a huge weight on my chest but the pain meds worked for that. I had REALLY bad jitters from the general anesthesia, I was shaking for like ten minutes. It didn't hurt or anything just freaked me out a little. I'm back home now, pretty much slept most of the day. I'm walking around now making a quick dinner for the girls and besides the pressure I'm feeling really well. (Might have something to do with the pain killers) lol I have cotton mouth like you wouldn't believe, not hungry at all but I know I need to eat. Lower belly is swollen but I'm wearing yoga pants and they are VERY forgiving. All and all a much more pleasant experience than I was expecting.
That's nice you can get over the muscle since you love to work out. Hope your pre op went well. Feel free to join the December 2016 breast augmentation surgery forum for some pre and post op support. (You can also type the forum title into the RealSelf search bar and the forum will show up.) Good luck and keep us posted!
