One week post-op!!
$13,000
I've had several surgeries over the years, so I thought I knew what I was in for. I have to say, this has been the hardest one in terms of recovery. (in the first week at least!) Pain has been manageable with the meds. I've slept well in my recliner, although I'm getting restless there now. Fatigue and the inability to stand straight or use my abs is a total drag! Still, I would choose it all again in a heartbeat. I just ordered a second compression binder online this morning, but the one from the doc does okay. My emotions have been a roller coaster and my poor fiance has been such a trooper about all of it. One moment I'm elated and can't stop looking the mirror; the next moment I'm crying and wondering if I'll ever stand straight again. lol

Day after!
Had my mommy makeover yesterday morning! It went smoothly and Dr. Smith was great about putting me at ease and going over last minute concerns. So happy with my choice of doctor.
The surgery took a little over 4 hours. Both the breast lift (no implants) and TT were considered "extended", as I really wanted him to smooth out my side boob area and hips and I wasn't concerned about scars. I am a little surprised by how painful it is, but not horrible. The meds help and my very sweet fiance has helped me with getting up/down. Make sure you have lots of help in the first week!
I have 1 drain, which is annoying, but tolerable. Havn't peeked under the binder and my sleep bra yet, but I can tell a huge difference. I'll post more pics soon.

Adding Photos
I have received so much inspiration and courage from all of your photos, so here are mine! yikes!
For what it's worth, cuz I know I've wondered when looking at other pics, I'm 5'7" and abt 175 lbs. Two kids by c-section, couple bouts with cancer and a TON of yo-yo dieting since I was a kid. All that means this poor body has been through the wringer! I am so thankful for this amazing and strong body and I finally love myself...mostly. Going to take care of that sagging belly (I know there are abs in there somewhere! ;-), give the girls a bit of a boost and get rid of that "side-boob". Surgery not until mid-June though, so I plan to loose a few more pounds and keep it up with the weights.
