26 Yo Starting Accutane Journey

Note: I’m still having a hard time finding the confidence to go out in a bikini or any top that shows my shoulders and back. The insecurity is still there although the acne is gone. Anyone experience this?

Fast forward 2 years and here we are. It was 100% worth it and as time passes my skin continues to get better and the scars have been healing. I also went to my derm for steroid shots to reduce the scarring and chemical peels for discoloration. Hang in there everyone

Hey hey everyone! So I’ve just finished my 4th month, finally. My face has totally cleared up and I haven’t gotten a new pimple in weeks! It’s friggin fantastic!! Although, a few of the really deep cysts I started with are still lingering under my skin but as the weeks go by I notice they’re shrinking. As for my back, well the pics show it all. Every month it’s more clear and I’m super stoked about it. I still haven’t experienced dry skin on my face, only my lips but I continue to apply chapstick throughout the day to sooth it. The skin on my arms and legs are EXTREMELY dry to the point where I have a painful red rash almost all the time. Hydrocortisone helps but it remains dry constantly. This journey has been intense and I look forward to next month’s results!
