Hi momoftwinks! I too am having surgery in December, on the 10th, and am a twin mom. Wanted to say hi and that you're in good company. ;-)

Hey momoftwinks we're just around the corner from each other and scheduled for the same day! Small world! I don't know about you but to me 6 1/2 weeks away seems like a lifetime and somehow also no time at all :)

oh fun!! a recovery buddy... with thanksgiving and christmas just around the corner i think it will be here in a blink! not nervous just yet...mostly excited. Victoria Secret had a great sale yesterday on underwear ... $150 later! i had to try everything on when i got home, imagining a new and improved belly! looking forward to getting to know & journey with you.

Like you I was tiny (115lbs) before pregnancy and although I only had a single birth he was 10 lbs so I consider that equivalent to twins! I gained 52 lbs. I lost all the weight w/n 4 weeks but the baby bag remained. From your pics you look like your results should be very good! I'm excited for you. I'm scheduled for 11/20... Here we go!
November 18, 2012

Those multiples can do a number on a belly! I'm guessing you are going to do well and will have a great result. Check out my preggo pic....these PSs have their work cut out but do amazing things. I'm so happy with mine.
November 18, 2012
wow, you look awesome!!! i am so impressed by how fit you were before your TT also. you didn't seem to have the stretch marks above your BB. if my results look anything like yours i will be a happy mama!! glad to hear you are doing well and loving the results! thanks for stopping by...excited to be where you are in the process :)

Hard to see in my pics but yes I had them above the BB. Still have a few to the side of the BB and lots below but soooo happy with the results. I had all those same thoughts... the guilt, what the hell am I thinking, etc. You deserve it after all those sleepless nights and stretched out skin. Love your preggo pic and thanks so much for the compliments!

the countdown is on ...

i know i must be getting close because my very first coherent thought at 6:45 this morning was..."what am i doing? is this crazy? do i really need a TT? can't i just live with my body?"... my first symptoms of cold feet i guess. i zapped out of it by giving this rippled belly a good jiggle. aaahhh yes, now i remember.

are any of my fellow December buddies having these same thoughts? i am stalking these forums daily to be as prepared as possible and have learned so much already. i am encouraged by your stories of struggle and victory...and that with the exception of a small few, that everyone would do it over again!

so here goes nothing... starting this week i will begin purchasing supplies here and there and menu planning for my family. has anyone hired help to come and clean their house while in recovery? i know myself and that someone will need to strap me to the bed and hide the clorox wipes. just thinking i should have someone come once or twice to keep us all sane. wonder if my in laws would be willing to keep the kids a few days to give my husband a break...he is wonderful wonderful but i feel guilty he will be juggling it all while playing nurse! then again, i had a c-section with colicky, refluxy twinfants. he was amazing... steddy eddie... and we were running on fumes and fragmented sleep at best.

oh so thankful for this place to vomit my random thoughts, concerns and questions. thanks for reading and happy healing to all who have gone before me!!

Hey! Haven't ever read your posts before, and you sound just like me. I wake up some days and feel why am I doing this and then later on the same day I can't wait long enough not to feel the jiggly skin! I am glad to see that I am not the only one addicted to clorox wipes, I know I will conveniently be wiping things as I walk by PO. You're body looks like the type that will look amazing with a TT and you deserve it! How old are your twins? Are they still alot of work? My kids are 7, 4 and 2 and ALOT of work. My son still gets up in the night, so not too sure how that will go. Guess they will have to work it out. Keep us posted. I go in on the 6th of dec.

you are getting so close!! one week for you!! yaaay... my twins are 5 and they are much easier at this age but have their moments/days for sure! will you have help with your little ones? i am still making plans for them after my tuck so they can enjoy their christmas holiday...hoping play dates and time with mimi and papa will work out! how are you feeling?? excited for you!
November 26, 2012
You will be so happy to get rid of the twin skin! I have twins too and the only regret i have is not doing this sooner!
November 30, 2012
sooo encouraging!! congrats on twins and your new tummy!
November 26, 2012
lol yes I would have somebody clean my cleaning lady will come before I leave for my surgery and the day before I come back.
November 30, 2012
how long will you be in the hospital? i will busy my mind with cleaning before the big day but might have someone come around 4-6 days PO. thanks for your advice!

Hey Oh my gosh Congratulations!! I myself have twins they are 7 and they also gave me the twin skin!!! I got my tummy tuck on November 1st which is the twins birthday. It was on a thursday so I had their party early. I am so happy with my decision to get a tummy tuck and I am so happy I made that choice probably one of the best choices I have ever made!! You will be soo happy!! You will feel like you have been given a second chance andyou will feel like you are back to your normal self again!!! You desearve it so much!! Having twins is soo hard on our bodys and raising them is work in it self!!! I actually feel sexy again for the first time in sucha very long time!! & ears to be exact!! Words can never explain how good you will feel when all is said and done!! One thing that helped me alot .. and I kept telling myself was that you have more of a chance at dieing riding or drivinga car every time you do it than while getting a tummy tuck. I read that online and so if we take that chance every day then why not take a lesser chance in a tummy tuck procedure because we deffinatley deserve it!!! Do you have Identical twins?? Mine are boy and girl they are in the first grade!! Congraulations on your road to making your self feel better about yourself and regaining your beautiful figure!! You are gonna look amazing and feel amazing!! Keep us updated!! What a great christmas present!!!
November 30, 2012

Thanks to my TT i am more prepared this christmas...

sheddingskin
thanks to my TT i am more prepared this christmas than ever before. our kiddos gifts- check! decorations- check! travel plans- check! i am usually guilty of last minute shopping/wrapping.. every. single. year.

i purchased all my PO supplies yesterday (i just couldn't find the dandelion tea i keep reading about). next on the list... meal planning/shopping/ freezing food. it is getting soooo real. i told the girls in my Bible Study last night and many of them seemed confused...the whole, "why? you are so skinny!" bit. so i gave them a looksy which caused a chorus of "ooooohhhs and wows." funny how we've all perfected the art of disguise! my spanx have been my friend since giving birth.

speaking of support, anyone willing to share their favorite CG or stage two garment? also, what are your favorite clothing items for recovery? happy happy healing to all! december ladies, here we come!

I wish I was as ahead of the game as you are sister! I've still got quite a few Christmas gifts to get and I'm only about half way through getting my post-op supplies. I found dandelion tea at our Drug Emporium, they're my go to store for any "health food" items, I've also seen it at Target. Also good question about the CGs I've been wondering the same thing myself.
