CO2 Laser for Scar
chesssJune 18, 2020
Going to preface this on Dr. Emer and his staff, I just got the procedure done yesterday so it's too soon to comment on the result.
I have this scar at the base of my nose from a lip lift done about ~2 years ago. When I realized it wasn't getting better after 8 months, I consulted with Dr. Emer to help me.
Dr. Emer cares and is responsive on insta, but a very busy man (understandably so, he's pretty famous around this neck of the woods). But he does have a very helpful concierge service who helped me book an appointment right away.
During my first appointment, he asks me "how long ago was this surgery?".
"8 months ago, I think"
"That'll keep healing, give it about a year. You're young"
I was super surprised. First, he's a very kind and authentic person for someone so accomplished. Secondly, he's very honest. With that statement alone, I could already tell he cares very much for his patients and wouldn't recommend anything unnecessary. Anyway, I didn't leave empty handed. The skincare person recommended a few products for me to take home. (Their cosmelan 2 is a lifesaver if you have hyper-pigmentation and acne. The stuff is legit.)
Anyway, I took his advice and gave it about a year for my scar to heal on its own. More or less, the scar looked about the same...so I called again xD
I had:
- Clear + Brilliant Full face
- PRP
- CO2 Laser
It was relatively quick (~2.5 - 3 hrs) not including the photo-op (they take photographs in a very controlled environment for more accurate before and afters) and the only part that sucked was the shots and getting my blood drawn. The nurses were super kind and comforted me because it was super obvious I am afraid of needles xD
I am only a day post- co2. It is still a little too soon to judge the procedure itself.. I was a little worried about lasers and my skin type but I'm confident the results are going to be awesome since I'm in good hands. Might update soon.
:)
Hope this helps?
