WORTH IT
I went to the office of Dr. Shaun Parsons in Scottsdale, AZ and met with Char for a consultation on what she could do to freshen my skin, reduce the fine lines and wrinkles and what could be done with surgical scarring on my neck. I have seen Char in the past for filler in my lips and Botox between my eyes and a very fine line on my forehead and her amazing facials. Let me tell you, not only is Char friendly and personable, she’s very knowledgable and educated in her profession AND she is a perfectionist and loves what she does. These are all things I believe to be important when choosing someone that’s going to be injecting Botox and fillers and using a laser on my face. Char recommended CO2 treatment and doing a combination of surface and deep layer procedure. They provided me with a prescription for two Valium and pain killers for the procedure.
Today, two days later, Char did my procedure. I was a bit anxious when I first arrived, not about the procedure, it was the thought of taking the Valium. I am hyper-sensitive to any type of muscle relaxers, anxiety meds, opioids etc., they cause me to get horribly sick. Char was very kind and sweet and said it was okay if I didn’t want to take it. She said if I couldn’t tolerate it, we could pause to put a Valium under my tongue to kick in before we proceeded further. Char put a numbing cream on me for an hour and then she started the procedure. I’m not sure what type or brand of numbing cream it was, but I was so numb I literally felt nothing!! Char was done within an hour, I was a bit puffy when I looked in the mirror and definitely very red. I’m originally from the Midwest, I sent a picture to my boyfriend and in his words, “if anyone should call you a red neck this week, there’s no way around trying to deny it!’ He’s right, I can’t deny it when looking at the pics.
The majority of the reviews I have red (haha) mention how bad the burning was for about 4-6 hours after the procedure. I didn’t feel like I had that really bad sunburn pain others seem to experience; it felt like some had put menthol all over my face and neck, like Icy Hot, with more Icy than Hot. It’s been four hours since the procedure and that icy sensation has been gone for about three hours, I have not taken any pain relievers because I have zero pain and no itching. Everyone’s pain threshold is different, mine is on the higher side due to some neck/spine issues. I have a very low tolerance to cold but a high tolerance to heat, in fact I love heat. I’m one of those odd ducks that is in my element when it’s 115°!!
I highly recommend the office of Dr. Shaun Parsons, and I feel so blessed to have found Char!! The entire staff is genuine, caring, and incredibly friendly. The whole office is warm and inviting and it’s very clean. The other thing that you will notice is the treatment rooms are not only a nice size, they are very well organized, rarely is there anything sitting out on the counters, everything is neatly tucked away in the cabinets.
You will not be disappointed going to this practice!!
Char, thank you so much for for being you and for your wonderful service and the care and concern you always show!!
To all the Realselfers reading this, I will post more pics in the coming days as my healing progresses.

Wow-You have awesome improvement! Your skin looks beautiful, and the under eye area is much improved. How was your pain level? I had a CO2 this spring and the pain days 1-2 were pretty intense. It was exciting to see the development day by day. What did you take for pain?
