CO2 Laser After Lip Lift Left Scars (White, Indented)

I took a photo today. It shows clearly the demarcation where normal skin ends and a small square patch of skin was shaved down by the laser and is at a lower level/is depressed and is not normal skin anymore. It is not just that the laser was not appropriate for my skin. In addition to that, the repair was done incorrectly with too much pressure used. Otherwise, this would not have happened.

I would like to add more photos. It is hard to photograph this when doing it yourself.
It looked a lot better before the CO2 laser. A nurse I visited for electrolysis said I have delicate skin and laser is not appropriate for my skin. If a nurse can see that, why can't a plastic surgeon, before doing this treatment?
One type of treatment is not suitable for everybody.

Thanks for adding the additional photographs. Have you considered a scar revision? Dr. Miguel Mascaro does a beautiful job with lip lift scar revisions. I am severely botched by another "Beverly Hills" plastic surgeon, and I am booked with Dr. Mascaro for a revision in October.
Hi Margielaglove - please post your journey! I have a lip lift scar consultation with Mascaro in October!! I would love to see how yours go
Hi there! I'm mustering up the courage to do so, as It's been a very traumatizing experience for me. I have multiple deformities; pleating, a-frame upper lip, and upper lateral lip are buried and rolled under both sides. I look like a human kewpie-doll.
Girl, I totally understand how you feel. I think traumatizing is the most fitting word. My outer lips didn’t roll up either. James Pearson said we can do a corner lip lift to fix it but I think I’m too traumatized to jump into another procedure, especially before I fix this scar. I highly encourage you to post your journey. I have posted mine and so many people have reached out to me with words of encouragement and advice. You’ll find that you aren’t alone. Nobody really understands unless they have gone through it, and this is the space to connect with others who will understand. I hope you revision heals well. Sending hugs to you!
Hi. If you mean another lip lift, I don't want to go through that again.
@Enthusiastic788246 Hi! I just checked your journey, and I understand why you aren't happy with your scar, but I think the lip lift itself looks nice. Dr. Mascaro is performing a medialized corner lift in addition to the lip lift revision. Based on their team's reaction, I think my case is one of the worst they have seen. Dr. Mascaro and his team are lovely and have shown so much empathy and compassion—I couldn't have asked for a better experience thus far. I wouldn't want to discourage anyone by posting my photos, as this most certainly isn't the norm. Dr. Haworth fixed a case similar to mine, and he had it published in a book.
may I ask who did your initial unhappy result?
@Bam9 I really think your scar looks good! Truly! I would contact your doctor for a potential scar revision if you really hate it and skip the laser. A scar revision is not nearly as invasive as the lip lifts surgery.
The CO2 laser made her scarring worse. This happened to a friend of mine as well, as it's not for all skin types as she mentioned :(
But what do you mean by scar revision? Another lip lift? I don't want to go through that again.
I know what you mean - I would never want to go through this again either. A scar revision is when they cut out the white part of the scar and attach the superficial skin together. It is not nearly as invasive as a lip lift procedure. There is no way to completely remove a white scar, you’re right about that. Excision is the only way to help the appearance of a white scar. I went to a consultation with James Pearson in Hermosa beach and I highly recommend him. I am only 4 months post op so he asked me to wait at least 9-12 months before making a decision. He also told me to stay away from lasers. He has 10 more years of experience than Talei. I saw two women on RealSelf go to him for a scar revision and they said he delicately cut out the scar and they didn’t lose any length in their philtrum. As for atrophic scarring, it might be worth considering microneedling. You mentioned your scar is indented, mine is too. Microneedling helps to fill in atrophic scars and won’t have the adverse effects of C02 laser. It won’t get rid of the white but it might could help to flatten your scar.

I just posted links to reviews that helped me^^^
Hi. I saw Pearson actually. He talked to me in a very strange tone of voice, like I am retarded and did not want to help me in any way. It was a truly unpleasant experience consulting with him.
I have not made any decisions about what to do. I don't know how to fix and whom to consult.

CO2 Laser After Lip Lift Left Scars (White, Indented)
The doctor was nice. He did a lip lift. However, there was visible scarring. I went for a CO2 laser treatment to supposedly reduce the appearance of this scarring, but he created new, white, indented scars, even in places where there were none before. I wish I never visited this doctor.

Please tell me your name or contact me so I can review your treatment and make this better for you
Dr. Talei, I don't see how it can get better. The scars are forever.I can send more photos.
But to give you a hint, I saw you for CO2 laser in early February of this year.
Hey girl, how are you doing? Has anything improved? I don't think it is that bad but I understand that the disappointment when you paid a lot of money :(
Hi. I don't have any improvements. It is actually worse than I thought because in addition to causing the indented scars under my nose, he also made a bunch of lines on my cheeks and chin with the laser. I have areas of hyper and hypo pigmentation in places and one of the lines he created has expanded into a shiny scar. So he basically committed malpractice on most of my face. But I suppose a lot of these lines can fade with time.
Omg I am so sorry :( I can assure you that your scar is a million times better than mine but I would have expected better from Talei. Please write a review on google and yelp. We need to hold these doctor's accountable.
The thing is, the scar after the original surgery was not so bad. He messed me up completely with laser. He does not seem to be even remotely competent with proper laser use. Lasers are really dangerous and I was not given any info prior about any possible negative results.
I am so sorry. In my opinion, I think it is a money grab/gimmick to sell a procedure with laser included. If the doctor is confident in his/her work then they wouldn't pre plan for laser. It is sad that you weren't made aware of this risks. Thank you for sharing your story. I'm sure there are many others. Hang in there.
I just saw a review for lip lift scar revision for a Dr Sedge in Beverly Hills. You should check out the before and after. Breezy12be is the reviewer. Your scar isn't as bad as hers - but her scar is gone now.
I second this^^^^ I scheduled a consult with dr. Sedgh after seeing that review. The lady in the office was so nice and understanding. It gives me hope.

So you are really saying that there is no one else who does great scar revisions anywhere in the United States? I find that hard to believe, but I have not done any research.
Well they use the exact same technique that Talei's use and taught them.
