Wasn't Right Enough

I had the laser and lower facelift just shy of a year. Had to go back for repeat laser around mouth. I have told my Dr. I am not happy with the facelift. I had it done at 63 yrs of age, wish I had done it sooner. I had many folds in my neck and many wrinkles on my face. Granted, my neck is a lot better.
I feel that the road maps at the smile line area shouldn't be there!!!
I wanted to get other opinions from you lovely folks. I'm not disclosing the Dr yet.
I just got depressed taking these photos.
Would you be happy??

Can't tell since doesn't specify which pics before and after?

These are all after pictures.

Hi! Its hard to make a good judgement without seeing before pix, but no, I dont think Id be happy with this result. We cant expect to look 35 again, it would look very phony to be too pulled back, but I think the jaw/neck area could look better. I would persist in asking him about this result.

No I would not be happy with this result. You are not that old and results should look a lot better than they do.

I hate to agree but yes I don’t think your expectations are too hgh. I’m sure you have improvements but after one year, you deserved better results.

Lower facelift

Wanted to change direction on my post.
Would you be happy not even 1 year out with this lower facelift??? I feel he didnt pull enough skin. You spend so much so you expect close to perfect. When no one comments on your youthful appearance, it must not be there

What kind of facelift did you get? There are so many different procedures. Also, it’s hard to tell without a before picture.

Lower. Had the stitching around the ear, which healed very nicely.
I am hoping to get enough reviews that I can call him out on it.

I would not be happy either, to go through that procedure and have loose skin along the jaw. I hope the doctor agrees with you. Your skin looks very healthy and smooth!

Thanks for the comment and the compliment!! My problem is I chose the only Dr that did JUST faces and he is 45 minutes away, I can't keep going back and forth.

First, I know this is confusing and disappointing, but honestly, I’d be very persistent about your displeasure. Meet with your PS and have him pull your Before photos. Look at them together and calmly point out exactly what areas have little or no improvement. Ask for copies of your Before photos, or take pics with your phone. I would tell him that he needs to do surgical re-do to correct the loose skin. A good PS knows that word of mouth is critical to his reputation and I’m sure you paid a lot for your Lower FL. If he blows you off, tell you you’ll have to report him to BBB and whatever medical associations he belongs to. Good luck!

Thanks for the advise. He wouldn't do it for free and I can't afford any more.

If he didn't take before pics that would be a negative sign not to use that PS. A reputable surgeon would sit with you to scrutinize before to after photos if requested. Unless he made a medical mistake there isn't anything a patient can do. An esthetic unappealing outcome isn't illegal just incompetence. Best start saving money for redo with better surgeon. We're guinea pigs for PS surgeons. If a doctor has good credentials one should also consider: Age if older has deteriorating eye sight, trembling hands, less energy to keep current with new technology. Does he drink alcohol to excess? a [RS bleep] ?
