FYI this is what the final stages of the permanent eyeliner and eyebrows look like. In this pic I am wearing only mascara. Again, I so love this and wished I'd done it 20 years ago. Although come to think of it I did it about 12 years ago with another artist in Los Angeles and it was much thinner, didn't look at good and I still had to wear eyeliner and brows, and it wore off after a year.

Aging holds all sorts of thrills including the erasure of any sort of delineation of lip line. I formerly had permanent eyeliner and eyebrows done by DeNovo Beauty in Vancouver WA. That turned out so well I opted for lip color as well. Laury Silva Giffin owns the company and does all the work. It's flawless. However, a caveat for those considering this process (at least for me) -- whereas with eyeliner and eyebrows recovery is no big deal, the lips were a whole different story. I could NOT have gone back to work had I not been retired. My lips were huge, bright red, peeling, swollen, a complete mess for at least 4 days. I wasn't quite prepared for this, and I wasn't quite prepared for how DIFFERENT the color looks upon application versus the finished process.
When I walked in the door after having it done my husband said my lips looked like those red, wax, bubblegum lips we wore as kids. NOT what I was looking for. But since I trusted Laury so much having had 2 previous procedures I sweated it out and sure enough, my lips look fabulous and the color is exactly what I wanted.

Larry knows her stuff and gives you exactly what you want. For my eyeliner I went back 2 times so that I could get it as thick as I wanted. For the eyebrows it took 3 visits because I was chicken and didn't want too much color too fast. After each visit I loved what had been done so much, I kept going back to add touches to the arches etc. until I was totally happy. She's a true artist.
