It has been one year since Dr. Feng explained the old,old surgitek implants. What a good decision it was. I am happy to have my health and no worries about implants even if I have small breasts again. I have become used to my small size now and can wear a variety of tops and feel that I actually look younger and more athletic. That's good at 62. I wish I had done it sooner. Dr Feng has been superb. We went back for a 6 month check and all was well. I have fluffed out a bit and scars are minimal. I can't say enough good about Dr. Feng and her staff. She has been compassionate,encouraging and informative. I think it is great she is doing webinars on breast implants and explants. If you are considering explantation, she is the Dr you want. Best wishes to all who are walking this path. My advice..get it done and get on with life.

It's been two weeks now and I am so very glad to be explanted. What a relief it is to know I will not be doing any more breast surgery in 10 or 15 years...I am healing well despite a little swelling on the side of the ruptured jmplant that had more work. My concerns have all been promotly addressed by telephone with the great nd nursing staff at The Lu Jean Feng clinic. Dr. Feng has also called to discuss my symptoms aand concerns. I even emailed her photos to review. Since I live over 8 hours away this has been a huge blessing being able to communicate and relay information via computer. II am happy with the decision not to havea lift. I know that it is very early in recovery and I will only improve with time. For anyone vascillating about this surgery and the decision to explant..I highly recommend that you consult with Dr.Feng.

You look absolutely wonderful! I'm so happy things are going well for you. I am considering traveling to Dr. Feng (I live north of Chicago). Would you tell me, were your implants under the muscle? How did you handle the drains? Did you have a doctor near your home look them over? That's my worry about uning a doctor so far away. I am 54, with sisicone implants under the muscle for 27 years(!). I want them out now. Thanks!

After months of severe anxiety and several consultations with various local and out state plastic surgeons about the removal of ruptured implants, I took the plunge and went up to see Dr. Lu-Jean Feng in Cleveland, Ohio. This was a great decision! My husband, myself and little dog traveled over 8 hrs to this fabulous clinic where my nerves were calmed just walking into the reception and waiting area. A sense of peace and serenity fills the place and everyone is welcoming and caring. Dr. Feng sent me to Dr. Kahn at Cleveland Clinic for ultrasound mapping and this was a blessing in itself! A previous ultrasound report stated that there was probable lymph node involvement. I was very worried about that extra surgical procedure. Turns out THERE WAS NO migration to any axilla lymph nodes. YEAH!!!! Dr. Feng spent about 2-3 hours getting to know about my medical history, lifestyle, etc and discussing everything with my husband and myself. Surgery the following day went well and all my concerns were addressed by the anesthesiologist on a personal level and the staff helped me with my anxieties. I can't say enough about them. Dr. Feng discussed all afterwards and turns out it was a VERY BAD Rupture and Surgitek has the highest rate of rupture of all these old implants. SO, glad they are out. I had 460 cc implants which were very large and NO LIFT. I will post photo's at a later date. I can't praise DR. Lu-Jean Feng and her skills, staff and whole operation enough. IT truly was a great experience in a very bad situation. None of us would choose to have this happen but since it did I am glad I found such a skilled beautiful doctor as Dr. Lu-Jean Feng

Thank you for sharing! Wow, that is crazy that the first study implied lymph node involvement. So glad you made it to Dr. Kahn for the Ultrasound Mapping and to Dr. Feng for the surgery!

Hello, congrats on your explant! I had 1 consultation with a PS and was thinking about a possible second opinion with Dr. Feng. I just had a few questions... Does the cost in your review cover everything (MRI, etc.)? Did insurance cover your explant? Would you be willing to share any before/after photos? Thanks for your time :-)

Congratulation! So glad it went well for you. Thank you for posting your experience with Dr. Feng and her staff. I am going to see her soon, just have to firm up the dates with my daughter, since she is going with me. We are flying in from Tampa. I am not looking forward to the flight home.
Dr. Feng is so far above these other doctors in her knowledge and expertise in Explants. It makes me feel less nervous. Good luck to you in your continuing recovery.
