Surgery is scheduled for July 10. I am excited but also very nervous/scared. I sure could use any support that anyone has to offer. I still not sure if I want to do the hairline browlift or endo browlift my Dr said I could decide the day of the surgery. I found my Dr through RealSelf/Make Me Heal he had two people on this site that had facelifts and there results were awesome. I will post before and after pictures. I pray that everything goes well and that I have a speedy recovery.

Patsy59, so glad you started your posting here as I found this to be tremendously supportive while going through my own facelift procedure.  I did not have a browlift with mine so can't help you there, but I'm sure others can and will respond.  If you're nervous/scared then you are right in the realm of being totally normal! :)  It's so natural to feel this way; it is after all a big procedure.  But you seem to have done your research and like your doctor's work.  Good look on the 10th and I'll look forward to reading your latest post op!

Thanks so much for the helpful info. I decided to go for the hairline browlift I feel like it will give me the results I'm looking for.

Good luck to you Patsy. I went to him for a revision consult, he is whom I wished I would have gone to, instead of the local non professional that I saw! You will be in the best of hands. His work is amazing!!! Nervousness is normal!!!!!

Hi everybody, it means alot to me for all the well wishes. You guys are the best!!! I was in surgery for 12 hours so yesterday I was kinda out of it. Doing good this morning really swollen under the eyes and my face feels like I am wearing a helmet but so far I'm dealing with it as good as you can. Dr Zins and his staff were awesome the aftercare was top notch they took really good care of me. Today I go back to Dr Zins office to get my drains taken out and I hope that dosen't hurt to have them removed. I will take some more pics today and post them tonight.

Chose to do endo browlift instead of hairline

Patsy59
I had a rough night last night. I had a panic attack last night and this morining due to all the swelling in my neck and eyes. I 'm doing better now, though. It has been really hard on me due to the swelling because I'm a little claustrophobic. I was so scared my eyes were going to swell shut and that was freaking me out. My Dr said I am hitting my peak for swelling and things, hopefully after today, will start to be on the downside

Hi Patsy59! I'm glad I found you on here. I go in for surgery (FL, neck & brow lift) in 8 more days. It's encouraging to see that other people go through the same thoughts and emotions and still manage to do okay. I'm also a bit claustrophobic and am a bit concerned about feeling panicky (especially about the 'choking' sensation that some others here have talked about), but I think that if I can remind myself that the feelings are normal and not dangerous, I'll be all right. You're an inspiration. Many thanks.

Hi Westy53'. You are going to do great. What help me is I got some anxiety medicine and that help me get through day two and day three I think this is the worse is when swelling hits its peek. I starting to notice this afternoon my eyes look like they are starting to go down. I went to walgreens prior to my surgery and bought these ice bead packs that you put in the freezer they have been a godsend for me. They are not heavy and they are soft and pliable I bought two square ones one for the neck and forehead and a eye one I use them 20 min on and 40 min off and it has help so much for me. Just know you are going to go through that feeling but you will do great. Please keep me posted on your progress and If I can be any help please feel free to ask. I will keep you in my thoughts......:))

Hi, I am sure you will do great! Wondering why it took 12 hours. Sure is a long time. Did you have any complications? All the Best!
July 14, 2013
Yes, Phuber58, the 12 hour surgery took me by surprise too.  Mine was 6 hours with just a lower facelift (traditional) and upper bleph.  On the other hand there's no rushing this kind of surgery.  :)  Could be the PS was particularly more detailed in the work on the underlying muscle and fascia.  So far results look amazing for only a few days out for Patsy59.  Hopefully the healing continues well Patsy!
July 14, 2013
Dear Financegirl, you look amazing! Love your new hairdo! I would tend to think if the PS takes their time handling delicate tissue, it would be conducive to less bruising and maybe swelling.
July 14, 2013
Hi Financegirl, just wanted to say you look amazing your results are so beautiful you had a very skilled PS. My dr stated there was no complications during the surgery the nurses communicated with my husband around 4 times while I was in surgery. I think that Dr Zins is just a perfectionist. I do believe my surgery was very involved with tightening the underlying muscle and fascia.
July 15, 2013
Patsy59, my husband got the call on the 9th hole turn that I was just done after 6 hours.  LOL.... It's good that our PS are so communicative with our whole family!  Glad to hear you are doing so well.  Keep us posted!
July 16, 2013
yes, I agree and so does my PS who has said that to me as well.  I had really minimal bruising from the FL.  Thanks for the compliment! :)  Did you have a FL as well?
July 16, 2013
No, still doing my searching. I'm concerned about the ear incisions and sideburns raised.
July 14, 2013
I can't believe it's only been 3 days. Your chemical peel doesn't look bad at all. did it turn white at 1 point?
July 14, 2013
So far no it hasn't. It sure did swell up really bad and turn purple black. I have putting lidocaine on it that the office gave me.

Wow, 12 hours of surgery! I think that the third or fourth day was the worst for swelling. I never felt the choking feeling that some have but I would think that would be scary. Keep us abreast abreast of your progress.Think of us as your support group.
