After having my first child at the age of 18, waiting 11 years to have my second child at the age of 29, and gaining and losing 100 lbs over the last few years, my breasts had been on quite the long journey. I've always had bigger breasts. With my last pregnancy I had reached the size of 40 H. Over the course of the last 2 1/2 years I lost 100 lbs and ended up at a 36 DDD. For being 31 years old, I felt my breasts were just light years in age ahead of me and needed a rejuvenation. After seeing multiple Drs and doing endless amounts of research I chose to proceed with Dr. Daniel Medalie. One thing I appreciate most about him is that he was straight to the point and honest with me about what he felt was the best course of treatment. We decided on a breast lift (anchor lift) with a small reduction. From the first day that I met him to the day of operation I felt confident with my decision to choose him as my plastic surgeon. The day of my surgery Dr. Medalie came to my bed side to greet my husband and I, take measurements, and confirm our plan for my surgery. He made me feel reassured and confident going in. We didn't spend a ton of time face to face, but we spent as much time as I felt I needed to have my questions answered and needs met. His secretary Valerie, nurses, and anesthesiologist were all incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming. They walked me through every step of the process. The surgery lasted about 2 hours and I was up and out of there within the hour after I woke up. They never made me feel rushed, were right on top of pain management, and made sure I could eat before I left. I was just ready to get out of there and get home. Lol. The nurse went over everything about home care with me and my husband, scheduled my follow up appointment right then and there, and gave me prescription for pain. Throughout the whole process Dr. Medalie was always easy to reach and very quick about responding to emails and phone calls to any questions and concerns I had. He offers top quality care at a very affordable price. My husband had a chance to see my breasts post op and he said they looked incredible. We know they will heal and take time to settle over the next few months, as I am only 2 days post op, but I feel confident that I made the right decision and can tell he took his time to make them perky, shapely, and even. I will be posting before and after pics, as well as pics of my healing process as time progresses. I highly recommend Dr. Medalie and I will continue to see him for my other plastic surgery needs.

Pre breast lift with small reduction

These are photos of my DDD pre operation breasts. I was very unhappy with how saggy and deflated they had become from having kids and significant weight loss. I still had significant breast tissue but it settled at the bottom and caused a lot of back pain from the weight.

Since some time has passed, are you still pleased with the results. Are you still measuring the desired cup size? Oh, and how long were you off work?

These photos were taken today 2 days post op after breast lift with small reduction. There is still some slight swelling in my breasts as expected. It's weird to see them this way but so far I feel he did an amazing job! Will post more photos as I progress and heal.

Thank you so much! Recovery has actually been pretty smooth so far. It hasn't been exactly fun per say lol but it's definitely been worth it! First shower was a little rough but not as rough as I had anticipated. That was probably the hardest part but I do feel much better now because of it. Congrats and good luck on your upcoming surgery! Take it easy and rest up. :)

So I know what to expect, what about that first shower was "rough"??

I got very nauseated with the first shower. I think emotionally it was hard cause it was the first time seeing my breasts in the mirror without a bra, and my first time touching them when I gently washed them. It was also the most I had been up and moving since the surgery 2 days before. The Percocet effects tend to hit me hard. I took my second shower today though and it was a breeze! Breasts are still sore and feel heavy but nothing like the first day. I still feel it's been 100% worth it!

That's understandable....I think it will be emotional for me too when I first see the results. Probably feels a little alien at first. Hope you continue to recovery nicely.....(and glad to hear you still feel it was worth it) : )
