Week 6 - subtle, steady improvement

My concerns are starting to fade - I have to say I am now pleased with the results, and I expect the improvements to continue, specifically in relation to swelling and scarring. Sex is so much better, and I have a much easier time achieving orgasm. There is some slight sensitivity through the entire vagina, and occasional itching - a reminder that the healing is not yet complete. Even if there is a little bit of excess frenulum tissue a few months from now, I don't think I would pursue a revision due to the risks and downtime.

Week 4

The final sutures under the frenulum have dissolved, which was causing a lot of latent swelling. At this point I am hoping the clitoral hood continues to reduce in swelling, but I worry that this is pretty much it at this point.

Almost 3 weeks in - things are looking bizarre

I am really concerned with the healing process at this point. There are 2 little flaps left over from my clitoral hood, and the sutures in them haven't been completely dissolved yet - but they are protruding from my labia in a curled up, bizarre way. I REALLY hope this is just due to remaining swelling and am getting extremely worried that this is how my labia are going to look now :(

Overall rating

Dr Loftus was extremely informative, patient and made me feel very much at ease. She works with precision and the utmost professionalism, and has a great staff on her team. This was not only my first surgical procedure, it was my first time undergoing any sort of anesthesia and her prescribed methods of pain management were true to the expectations that she set as far as the pace of recovery and level of discomfort (which were relatively mild). Excellent bedside manner and I wouldn't hesitate to go to her again for future procedures! She is trustworthy and clearly cares for her patients.
