34 years old, no kids. I lost 55 lbs. last year, and my breasts shrank to barely filling in a 32B (there was gapping). Dr. Loftus and her office staff couldn’t have made me feel anymore comfortable! What a wonderful experience. I had surgery yesterday, 11/30. Photos are up to date as of today. Updated on 7 Dec 2021: I am now one week out from surgery, and I still couldn’t be more thrilled with the results! Swelling is mostly gone, and I have minimal discomfort at this point. My only discomfort are intermittent “zingers” and sensitive nipples, both of which are completely expected and normal during the healing process. My breasts are looking great, and I will continue to post updates as they settle into their final position (drop/fluff). Updated on 15 Dec 2021: I had my 2-week recheck yesterday. Dr. Loftus said everything looks great and is healing perfectly. I must say, I agree! I am so pleased. Swelling is gone, and I have no pain. I got to rip off the surgical tape and start my scar cream! Still restricted to lifting no more than 10 lbs. for 2 more weeks. I can’t wait to get back in the gym, even if it’s just cardio until the 8 week mark. Updated on 26 Dec 2021: Hi, all. I am one month post-op. Swelling is gone. Zero discomfort at this point. I am regaining sensation in my breasts, a little more each day. I can see they are starting to settle, and look more natural day by day. Currently measuring a full 32DD. Going back to the gym for lower body and Zumba classes tomorrow; I can’t wait! I have hated not being able to work out. I am still so pleased with the results, they really couldn’t be better!!! I’ll post another update in a month, when I’m 2 months post-op.
My experience was amazing. I spoke to several Plastic surgeons when I considered removing my breast implants and Dr. Loftus took her time to review all of my options. She also let me know what options were not right for me. She is the type of doctor that does want is best for the patient and does not try to talk you into something you don't need. There are many physicians out there that are only interested in how much you can spend with them. Her honesty, professionalism and skill set is what will keep me coming back for whatever plastic surgery or skin care procedures I am considering in the future. Special shout out to her nurse Kimberly and office manager Jody. They were amazing and kind.
I have been wanting bigger breasts for as long as I can remember. After BF 2 children, my husband I decided it was time (my youngest is 3). I did ALL the research and had 3 consultations, mostly because I received conflicting info/approaches from the first 2, leaving me with 3rd times the charm - Dr. Loftus! Due to my moderate+ chest wall caving in (Pectus Excavtum), it increased the difficulty of the surgery slightly as well as my risk for complications. The other 2 surgeons swept this under the rug; however, Dr. Loftus did not. Even though I was more nervous leaving my consultation, I felt more informed, that's why I chose her. I had minimal questions because she answered them all already and was realistic about expectations and risks. She is confident, experienced and no nonsense, but is still down to earth and has a way of calming you. I called their office so many times and every time was met with kindness. Roz and Jody are incredible members of the staff and make you feel like you're the only patient. I don't know what my BWD was - my stats are 5'6", 130lbs, 34A. I decided to go with Ideal Implants because they are saline but have a more silicone feel, so it was the best of both worlds for me. After my consultation, trying on sizers (under 2 tight sports bras) and picking a size with Roz and separately w/ Dr. Loftus, we decided on 270cc implant inflated to 305cc and 300cc inflated to 325cc, inframmammary incision and submuscular placement. Day of surgery went so smooth. I was the first one of the morning arriving at 6:45, surgery was scheduled for 8 and I was out just after 10. I napped most of the day and tried to stay up on my meds and icing. My pain was probably at 4/10 max. POD1: soreness in the morning, periodic icing, spacing out pain meds and muscle relaxers more. Only 1 nap today. Still have some numbness but not hateful. I'll post pictures tmr!
Before having this surgery with Dr. Loftus even my boyfriend wasn’t allowed to see this specific part of my body, I wouldn’t let my own mother see me fully undressed. After having this surgery I’m 100% more confident and comfortable with myself. I’m 21 years old and my boyfriend can finally see me fully undressed. If you are thinking about doing something that will in turn make you feel better about yourself do it! Dr. Loftus explained every detail and was very upfront and helpful. The staff is all very nice and the day of my surgery they were all very calming and took great care of me!
Dr. Loftus is very knowledgeable and has wonderful bedside manner. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful from the consultation through my post-operative appointments. The morning of my surgery, I was comfortable and, most importantly, calm thanks to the nurses and office staff. I highly recommend Dr. Loftus as a first and only resort to anyone who is considering plastic surgery. I’m so happy with my results. I feel more confident, sexy, and love the way I look now. I definitely would do it all over again. It’s been almost two weeks since my procedure, and I feel amazing.
I first saw Dr. Loftus twelve years ago. I had done the research and her excellent reviews plus the fact that she had written A Smart Woman’s Guide to Plastic Surgery (which I read cover to cover) gave me a great deal of confidence in her as a surgeon. At my consultation, she listened carefully and then explained how she believed I would achieve my objective of looking younger. It was not what I expected. She suggested shortening my upper lip (long ones run in my family) explaining that as we age the upper lip gets longer and then obscures one’s teeth. She also suggested a forehead lift rather than an eyelid lift. Last, she suggested a mini facelift. I had the surgery done as she suggested. My results were natural and have lasted. I feel so fortunate to have found her. She has an artistic eye and is an extremely skilled surgeon.
From beginning to end, I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Loftus. Her staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help me. The directions were very thorough and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend anyone considering having any kind of elective surgery to go through Dr. Loftus. She is extremely knowledgeable and more than that her warm and friendly personality welcomed me right away. I felt like part of the family.
I had a great experience with Dr. Loftus. Her and her staff were phenomenal. They did their best to ask every question I had. Dr. Loftus did a great job. I would recommend her to anyone needing help..
Hi everyone! I got my breast aug yesterday with Dr Loftus in Cincinnati, Ohio. I just want to say she is amazing!!! (The whole staff is amazing). I was very nervous about being put under. The staff made me feel super comfortable. I am 5'2 120 pounds and I chose 360 cc's. I was super nervous that I was going to big. Dr Loftus informed me that if I look at pictures of girls with the same size it's going to look different on me because not everyone's body is the same. I love them already. & I am so happy that I chose Dr. Loftus to perform my surgery. These pictures were taken the same day as my surgery was completed. They are swollen but still love them. Can't wait to see them drop nd fluff! :)Updated on 6 Aug 2020: Updated on 17 Aug 2020: Love them!! Updated on 7 Oct 2020: Love them!! They’ve settled a lot and are more fluffy. So happy with the results overall.
Let me start off with explaining why I decided to use Dr. Loftus as my surgeon for my breast augmentation. I loved her before/afters (super natural) and I couldn't find 1 single bad review on any platform. I met with her on June 24th 2019 for my consult. The consult was 100 dollars, which is deducted from the surgery cost if you decide to proceed. We tried on sizers to start off (from biggest to smallest) then she took all my measurements and talked about the pros/ cons of each type of implant and risks/complications associated with this type of surgery. She didn't rush me, answered all my questions, and made me feel comfortable. That day I decided she was going to be the one who was going to give me the best results, so I paid the entire cost after the consult. We scheduled the surgery for July 23rd at 7 am.
Very good question. In fact scars begin to widen out about the two month mark and may continue to widen for several months thereafter. The degree to which your scars will widen has more to do with tension on the scars and the heaviness of the skin and fat that may be exerting tension on the scars. Scar width does not typically have much to do with postoperative exercise or activity.
This is an excellent question. Lower body lift and a belt lipectomy are one in the same thing. This is yet another example of how plastic surgeons unnecessarily use multiple and confusing different terms to describe the same thing. For this reason, when I am describing this operation, I describe it based on its components which are most typically an abdominoplasty plus an outer thigh and buttock lift.
If, upon removal of your implants, the implants were intact with no extrusion of silicone, then it would not of been necessary to perform a capsulectomy. This is also true for saline implants. The only time that capsulectomy would’ve been recommended would have been if, upon removal of silicone implants, your plastic surgeon encountered ruptured implants with silicone extravasated throughout the wound. It is also true that the scar tissue, which is called the capsule, will definitely resorb. Therefore I completely agree with your plastic surgeon.
Not only is it common for one breast to be more swollen than the other following breast augmentation, but it is almost always the rule. Do not be concerned or surprised. This is also true for many of the operations that we plastic surgeons perform.
The best way to reduce swelling following rhinoplasty is elevation the first week following surgery. Patients who are able to keep their head elevated for a full week following rhinoplasty, by sleeping in a recliner, will minimize the amount of swelling that they endure. If however you still have swelling or year later, it becomes much more difficult to address. Although steroid injections may be attempted, my concern would be that the problem is no longer swelling, but is thick nasal skin. As for the scar, it is seldom necessary or helpful for scars of rhinoplasty surgery to require steroid injections. I would only consider that if the scar was pathologic such as a hypertrophic scar.
