My Kybella Journey

Last year, I decided I was tired of my submental fullness. I'm 37 and in pretty good shape, I work out but just can not get rid of the double chin. I went to a place and they talked me in to doing the cool sculpting instead. It did not do anything for me and I feel I wasted my money on the treatment. So I kept doing research on kybella and decided now after failed cool sculpting treatments (I had 4 treatments done) I really wanted to do the kybella. So today was my first injection, they did 2 vials. It was very painful especially when they injected closer to the neckline. They told me when they inject I would feel a burning sensation, that didn't hurt as much as just the injection itself. There was a throbbing pain for about a hour or so after the injection. I've been home a few hours now and been icing it like crazy to keep the swelling down, but I do have the "bullfrog" appearance. I am really hoping this works especially the money I now put into all this. I will keep everyone updated on my progress.

I've had it done twice now (last treatment 3 weeks ago). Not noticing any difference at all. In fact, I feel like it might look worse than before. No pain or soreness generally, but I have had a few sharp pains, as you describe.
My provider said some people need 3 or more treatments, hope that's not the case!

I'm hoping not the case as well. Unfortunately, I can't keep putting money into this especially if it doesn't work. I have other bills and a huge school loan I'm trying to pay off. Keep me posted on your progress. It seems as if ours is pretty similar.

Next morning after treatment

Pretty much the same as yesterday which is to be expected. Very tender to the touch and bruising from the injections also a little redness as well. I'm hoping makeup will cover the bruises.

Please stay encouraged. It is a process. I had 2 rounds of Kybella and am extremely pleased. My bull frog looked very similar to yours. The extreme bull frog for me lasted about 2 or 3 days. Then it went down to normal swelling that made me look like I had picked up weight over all. Then swelling went down to baseline and then improvement. Within 4 to 6 weeks you should be seeing some noticeable results. Be prepared that you might need a second round of shots, most of us do.

Thanks for the encouragement! Reading everyone's experience on here helps greatly! I have my next injections scheduled in November. Not looking forward to the pain again but hoping it'll be worth it!

One week update

It has now been a week since my kybella injections. Just mild soreness if I touch the area and I have one patch of numbness in the middle. The bruising and redness is gone. I'm down to about my baseline now, but do feel that I'm getting a more prominent jaw line when looking profile. I'm hoping that I will see continued improvement for the next week.
