Looking Refreshed and Well Rested. Cincinnati, OH

I am 49, active, and feel much younger than my age. During the past few years I became exceedingly conscious of the appearance of my eyes. Specifically, the puffiness and swelling around my eyes. I looked like a "tired" middle age man. But I don't feel tired and I definitely don't feel middle age. I know my eyes gave me the appearance of weary and (gulp) old. My wife convinced me to research having the blepharoplasty procedure with the Advanced Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center. I will admit that I was skeptical at first and showed up for my consultation with lots of questions. However, Dr. Mendelsohn and his staff left me feeling completely at ease and convinced that an upper and lower blepharoplasty would dramatically improve my "tired" eyes problem. Dr. Mendelsohn answered all of my questions and helped me understand exactly what the procedure involved and what I should expect. I felt comfortable knowing that he had performed this procedure thousands of times. I scheduled my "blephs" for a Thursday. On the day of my surgery, I arrived and was taken back to the operating room by PA Kristin Smith. She went over what I should expect again. I was then sedated but still awake while enjoying my favorite music piped through the room while Dr. Mendelsohn and Kristen worked away on my eyes. I will say that the procedure went much quicker than I expected. Before I knew it I was on my way home and relaxing in bed for the rest of the day. That evening Dr. Mendelsohn called me at home to see how I was doing. What Doctor does that? I followed his instructions regarding elevation and cold compresses. To be expected there was some swelling and bruising but after day 3, I noticed a dramatic improvement as the bruising began to dissipate and move down from my eyes. I returned to a partial day of work on Monday (day 4) wearing sunglasses which covered most of the bruising. With the exception of a
touch of faint yellowish, my bruising was completely gone by day 7. Today, I look refreshed, my incisions are invisible, my eyes look like they did when I was 30! I receive comments that people can't believe my age. For anyone that has "tired" eyes and is on the "fence" about having this procedure, I definitely recommend having it done at the Advanced Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center with Dr. Mendelsohn.
