Breast Reconstruction - Cincinnati, OH

My motivation was poor for talking to a plastic surgeon. I had received a second diagnosis of breast cancer ten years after I had the first breast cancer, mastectomy, chemo, and a reconstruction- in that order. That reconstruction surgery did not go well, but I was encouraged to talk to Dr. Maier by my new surgeon who told me, "You need to see Dr. Maier; this may well be the best part of having cancer again." Dr. Maier was very understanding of my reluctance and fear, but he also saw that I did have hope for a successful reconstruction of both breasts. He carefully and specifically explained his procedural plan for me, and built the much needed trust that made be feel that I was in good hands. I am delighted with the results; the reconstruction made me feel whole again!
