I'm 5'7" 140 lbs I got a breast augmentation because I couldn't bend over in a bra without being able to see straight into it. Braless wasn't an option for me because I was too self concious about how flat chested I was. Honestly I've never felt my age because of my lack of breasts, as silly as that may seem. I obsessed over my size for months, originally picking 300cc (to be a full c) but after being told you lose some size by going under the muscle I wanted to try 400 high profile and my second choice was 325 my incision is under my breast. I was scared of the unknown, did I pick the right size, will they look worse than my boobs originally did, am I going to regret it, what will my recovery be like, will I wake up in severe pain? You name it I worried about it. I got sick a couple days before and i was terrified I'd have to reschedule. My doctors MA advised me as long as i didnt have an active fever or a persistant cough the day of everything would be ok. The day of surgery I got to the center 2 hours before, I got taken back where I took a pregnancy test and changed into a gown. My nurse took all my vitals (blood pressure, temp, heart rate) then started an IV in my wrist as the veins in my hands weren't cooperating. The IV was dripping saline and antibiotics. Once i had the IV my mom was able to come sit with me until they took me back for surgery. An anesthesiologist came in to go over the process and answer questions. After that my doctor came to draw on me, answer any last minute questions and confirm the size of implant. This is where I really got nervous because I knew it wouldn't be much longer! About 15 minutes later another anesthesiologist came to inject something into my IV to relax me, then a couple OR nurses wheeled me back to the surgery room where they hooked me up to machines that monitor you during surgery. My doctor put a pillow under my knees and compression wraps on my legs then the mask got put overy my mouth and nose and the next thing I remember was my nurse saying I was in recovery. When I woke up my pain level was about a 4, my chest was tight and my muscles were sore but it was by no means unbearable. The nurse gave me water and a pain pill. She took my vitals then let my mom come to sit with me until I could leave. She stressed the importance of deep breathing as you can get fluid built up in your lungs if you don't work them after. It was difficult but doable, just go slowly and it doesn't have to be every breath. My mom told me the doctor couldn't fit 400 into my pocket and the 325 fit but I didn't have enough breast tissue to close the incision. So I got my original choice of 300cc. The hardest part for me has been sleeping and not being able to use my arms to get myself up. I'm day 5 days post op and doing great! However, I did start my period prematurely the day after my surgery which my doctor said can happen and isn't uncommon. My menstrual cramps have been the most pain I've felt since my BA! Just to give you an idea of how tolerable it was. As of right now, it's already been totally worth it and I'd do it 100 times over. I know how obsessed I was prior to getting the BA, so I truly hope this helps someone :) P.S. I got a L sports bra for after and it was so tight I was almost miserable my first night so I had my mom go out and get me an XL which did wonders for my comfort level! I know my boobs will change a lot over time but even now I think they are beautiful and am very happy with them. I hope I like them settled just as much as I do now!

I absolutely love Dr. Columbus and his MA Laura! He listens to what you wish for but is very realistic when it comes to what your body can handle/ what will look best. And he doesn't hold back telling you what he thinks which is great because I'd never want to go to someone who will give me anything I ask for without having my best interest at heart. I highly recommend him!
